One thing non-divine ethics/morality cannot demand is that a person sacrifice their life; i.e., no duties are so stringent that they remain duties when the only possible way to fulfill the duty entails that the person loses their life.

Thus, if I'm in a situation where the only possible outcomes are I die or I kill you, choosing to kill you is not murder, even though you do not benefit (obviously).

Try to apply analogous reasoning to property rights and 'invasion'. I mean, honestly, just try out this exercise, and think long and hard about when duties to respect the property of others might be problematic and questionable.

What claim did i make that i can't back up? I backed it up with the following paragraphs.

I love America and I want the economy to prosper, therefore i support the free market for labor.

Your straw man tactics are weak.

You might want to move away from your unreflective 'common sense' near-sighted view of the world and reflect on the concepts you employ to sort out the vast intricacies involved in what, on the surface, appear to be simple moral terms such as property, rights, duties, etc.

Oh, and try to avoid thinking that just because I used an example in which your life was going to be saved that the only justifying reason for entering someone else's property without an invite is to save that person's life. I used the example to clearly demonstrate the disconnect in your thought. I did not use it because it is the only example that shows such a disconnect.

Anyway, it's my birthday, and I'm going to start making some carnitas so they are ready by the time the guests arrive and the game starts (I have at least 2 friends...maybe as many as 3).

I'd bet there's a few hundred ISIS fighters blending in this cluster that's headed to Austria or Germany. They are expanding westward and what's even worse, we are probably letting them cross our borders as well.

That same study showed that they have a higher rate of employment and they were counting households that got free school lunch as welfare recipients. That completely skews the findings. We need to know how much $ they receive. I am not worried about an $0.85 lunch.

Also, the study relied on self-reporting and this is the center for immigration studies (anti immigration).

All things considered, the findings are not what alarmists want you to think. The one significant data point was households on medicaid. That's an argument against medicaid and our HC system more than it is an argument against immigration. We shouldn't deprive our economy of cheap labor because we have a dumb HC system. That's fallacious thinking.
