$140 for a ticket to Florida in the lower level is an absolute steal IMO especially in section S. Even in 2016, uppers were going for $200+ easily on the secondary market. It's all supply and demand. If UT wins 9-10 games this yr, wait until you see ticket prices next season for Georgia and Texas A&M.

If your main complaint is ticket prices, which I assume it is since you called out UT, and I say this in the nicest way possible, but perhaps you should go to Akron or UT Martin instead if you can't afford $140 for what's considered a "premium" game. You can even get really cheap tickets to Kentucky or Missouri.

Fyi... My $80 motel room is 40 miles outside Knoxville, My gas cost is round trip...By the way Upper deck seats end zone
were $140 for Florida .

U left out ammo if you’re in $80 room on a football weekend. Any decent room even on non football weekends is $150+.

Plus gas for getting back home. Another $60-100

I know. When I first heard that they were “modernizing” ticket prices, I fully expected to be paying about at least a $1k more a year. When they released the prices, I originally thought they had made a mistake.

Just checked downtown hotels, price per night that weekend:
Hilton $858
Courtyard $629
Residence $656
Hyatt place $709
Courtyard Bearden $512
Best Western $313
La Quinta North $270

I believe all are 2 night min, + taxes.
You aren't staying anywhere safe to sleep for less than $600.

Also, $50 in food for a day won't get you very far. That's two cocktails with tax and tip.

I believe La Quinta is Spanish for "next to Denny's"

Still a good deal in my opinion but to each their own. One of my co-workers offered me $700 for a pair to Florida from my season tickets in the upper level so . I think it’s a combination of no one wanting to go to the crap OOC games and everyone wanting to go to the “premium” games, myself included.
