Hard to make sense of that after they have just restructured and let departments and employees go.

MS is a bizarre company now days...

That's pretty incredible for a game that was basically designed in some dude's basement.

Much like EA, Microsoft has made their hay by gobbling up all the small successful innovators and assimilating them into lifeless shells; destroying uniqueness and originality.

like the Borg in Star Trek.

Resistance is futile, Mojang. RIP.

Maybe, but the Borg wasn't throwing around 2 billion dollars. Mojang, as a company, can RIP, but the people that work there are going "cha CHING!!!!!"

Minecraft is a very polished product imo. It has improved so much from 4 years ago and just went through a major series of updates in the last year. I don't have a problem with Microsoft buying it from a gamer perspective. Idk what they plan on doing with it as a product and platform development, but doesn't matter to me much personally.

I don't really have a problem with MS buying Mojang as long as they properly support them and give them the freedom to be creative. I've said all along that I'd rather MS invest their money in acquiring studios, putting them under their development umbrella, and building up their in-house development community rather than simply money-hatting 3rd party companies. I've been screaming for MS to build an actual brand identity when it comes to gaming BESIDES Halo and Forza. I just don't want to see happen to Mojang that happened to Rare. MS just needs to give Mojang the support they deserve and allow them to do their thing and not stick their noses into it.

For the longest while the PC has been the lead platform for this game... I'm afraid of what this will do to that. Ms is known to eff over their pc market to try to move Consoles

That's because most PC players actually demand complex and quality gameplay...Communists!!
