Received a disturbing email from a close friend of the Dearstone's that Mickey lost his son last night at the age of 31. I have no link or anything I can find on this. I didn't know if Mick was his only son. Terrible news if true.

Yeah Mick’s his son. Mickey is the one who wasn’t on the radio this morning.

This is true. Mic was one of my closest friends and Mickey is like a 2nd dad to me. He passed away in his sleep on Monday night. He was 31 years old. Services will be held on Friday at 3:00. Pray for all of us please we have lost someone very special.

Mickey Dearstone is the voice of the Lady Vols and is on WIVK. Unfortunately, the news is very true. Mick is the cousin of my cousin, and was very good friends with my older brother. The world has lost a great human being. I am sure that family appreciates all of the prayers. I know I am praying.
