Michigan learns their fate today

Back in the Fulmer days when the O line was elite they would tell the D what play was coming and it didn’t matter.

Blaming that USCjr loss on sign stealing is laughable.
I believe the offense was performing beyond anything Fulmer’s teams ever managed in SEC play that game.

We lost because South Carolina scored more than 60 points for the only time since Beamer has been coach.

Some people just can’t blame Tennessee for anything. Fans, refs, media, past coaches, injuries, weather, teams that aren’t even involved in the game now, anyone but the actual team and coaches on the field.

Everything always comes back to a massive conspiracy to hold the Vols down, for some. We can lose by 30 and some will point to a missed holding call in the 3rd quarter and blame that as the culprit.
The missed holding call in Tuscaloosa two years ago was a huge turning point in that game.

The NCAA is an effing JOKE.

Of course UM just got a slap on the wrist. Complete BS!! That just tells everyone else: CHEAT ALL YOU WANT. There will be no real punishment if you're caught.

100% BS.

Great of them to announce this too just a couple days before the #1 RB in the country decides whether to go to UM or Tennessee. Just in time huh?? Don't get me wrong...if Hiter doesnt 100% want to be here then we don't need him. Just suspicious timing though to take over a YEAR to handle this situation which was a no-brainer from Day1....BUT they make sure to release those details a couple days before the #1 RB announces his decision that just HAPPENS to be a 50/50 by all accounts between UT and the cheating azz garbage wolverines.

The NCAA is a damn joke. I hope we are doing whatever we want to in recruiting etc. There sure isnt any reason to stick to the arbitrary rules. FBS is gonna be like NASCAR....if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying. Disgusting. I hope the SEC leaves the NCAA and does our own thing.
Good news, UM is stretching out the battle by appealing it and not moving on. Stirring the pot can create odd changes to the outcome.

Schollie reductions hard to match in today’s world. Two huge show cause on 2 coaches is a stain on their reputation as a school with cheating coaches.

Not enough, but we do have cards to play until their probation is OVER.

I heard up to 30 mil fines, nearly 3 times our 8.

Anybody can turn them in for ANY violations. Eyes will be watching.

And then you have people that stick their head in the sand and blindly trust that refs have zero impact on a game. Those 'fans' are probably the smoothest brained fans of the bunch.

It's not actually holding if you use your arm like an 🐙 tentacle to neck-lock the defensive end. Neither is it illegal use of the hands. So even tho it appears to be holding, it is really just a great block that lead to a quick touchdown.

I don't believe this is true. I believe this is the link to the 2023 NCAA Football Rules Book: NCAA Publications - 2023 NCAA Football Rules Book. Page 104 of the Ruled Book (page 107 in the pdf) defines 'holding" by a player on offense:
"Holding and Use of Hands or Arms: OffenseARTICLE 3. a. Use of Hands. A teammate of a ball carrier or a passer legallymay block with their shoulders, their hands, the outer surface of their arms orany other part of their body under the following provisions.1. The hand(s) shall be:(a) In advance of the elbow.(b) Inside the frame of the opponent’s body (Exception: When theopponent turns their back to the blocker) (A.R. 9-3-3-VI and VII).(c) At or below the shoulder(s) of the blocker and the opponent(Exception: When the opponent squats, ducks or submarines).(d) Apart and never in a locked position.2. The hand(s) shall be open with the palm(s) facing the frame of theopponent or closed or cupped with the palms not facing the opponent(A.R. 9-3-3-I-IV and VI-VIII).b. Holding. The hand(s) and arm(s) shall not be used to grasp, pull, hook, clamp or encircle in any way that illegally impedes or illegally obstructs anopponent.PENALTY—10 yards Penalties for Team A fouls behind the neutral zoneare enforced from the previous spot. Safety if the foul occursbehind Team A’s goal line [S42]."

Holding can be called on almost every single play. Yet some Vol fans want to act like it only happens to us. No Vol fans want to admit we get away with tons of holding calls in big games.
Yeah, I know, but was egregious, right in front of the ref and had an outcome on the play
