I didn't expect any significant penalty, but it is crazy that you can design an intricate system to steal the signs from other teams and then hardly get punished for it.how will they ever recover from such a massive penalty?! They may as well have just beheaded Sherrone, instead of making him suffer through this hell!
all jokes aside, of course this is all Michigan gets lol. Anyone who thought they’d even consider vacating their natty was extremely naive at best, and delusional at worst.
What Michigan did was much worse, but the NCAA's enforcement arm is nothing compared to what it was 15 years ago. And to be fair, it wasn't the NCAA that stripped USC of the title, since it doesn't have that power. When the NCAA vacated wins, it was the AP and the BCS that stripped the title from USC.The USC trojans were stripped of their title in 2004. How do you guys compare what USC did back then compared to Michigan? Worse? Same?
If NIL was a only a thing back then. What Michigan did was much worse, but the enforcement arm of the NCAA is nothing compared to what it was 15 years ago. And in fairness, the NCAA wasn't the ones who stripped USC of the title, since they do not have that power. When they vacated wins, the AP and BCS stripped the title from USC.
yeah, it’s embarrassing. suspending a coach for one ******* game when he took part in stealing the signs of all of Michigan’s opponents-and probably way more teams-isn’t even a slap on the wrist. It’s just squeezing Michigan’s hand a little too hard during the handshake.I didn't expect any significant penalty, but it is crazy that you can design an intricate system to steal the signs from other teams and then hardly get punished for it.
Michigan has been in cooperation the entire time. Michigan is going to comply since the NCAA won't vacate anything

Exactly they did not cooperate at all. We went full on scorched earth on ourselves to cooperate over McDonald’s bags and vacated games. They most certainly have not been cooperating. They refused to enter a negotiated solution and elect to fight much of the NCAA's investigation. But because they are one of the chosen/preferred schools they will get a lighter sentence for lack of cooperation than we would have for acting the same way. We got the largest fine in NCAA history in spite of cooperation.
Their natty is worth the $15mill fine.A whole lot of nothing and it will happen again...somewhere. Michigan has written the playbook on how to do it. Find an ambitious young person that is willing to be a scapegoat if caught. Make sure as a head coach you have plausible deniability. Then delay, deny, divert, and diffuse under the guise of cooperation.
Exactly and where are the recruiting penalties of scholarships. We lost 40 or 50 scholarships and seeing nothing of this. If I am teams forget the NCAA. Just do your own thing going forward. This is ridiculous. Ohio State lost a whole season over tattoos.
