I think they are kind of like Notre Dame where they do have games that end at night, but they just don't do a night kickoff, except for when they play Notre Dame this year.
They only added permanent lights last year. So that should answer the question. Even I didn't know that before I researched this (had a feeling lights weren't installed until very recently though).
That's crazy, though.
One of the things I read talked about the negatives of night games. Among those were the killing of tradition and possibility of excessive alcohol intake by students tailgating all day.
I wouldn't be able to stand it if Neyland difnt host 3-4 night games all year. Night games are the best, although I prefer the 3rd Saturday in October to be a late afternoon game. Posted via VolNation Mobile
It's because their typical fan is 65+ and they have to go to bed before a night game would end. Next time a Michigan game is on tv try a catch a glimpse of the fans outside the student section....looks like the worlds biggest bingo tournament.
