Trump has more in common with Communism than any elected official that's a Democrat. When Trump says the media is "the enemy of the American people" he tramples on the first Amendment. His disdain for for the free press and his anti-free speech rhetoric is horrifying. How can someone who took an oath to uphold the first amendment say this: "It's frankly disgusting the way the press is able to write whatever they want to write, and people should look into it."

Trump needs to stop being a pansy boy when it comes to the press.

Bashing the press and calling them what they are no way tramples on there rights. But I know you get a different story from CNN and the like

Nope. I have yet to hear him c all for the silencing of the press. What he is saying is right. The press is divisive. Like luther, all they care about is clicks.

If the press were 'reporters' of news instead of opinion writers, you would have a point. The problem is that the press is the liberal party's attack branch. I really wonder what they teach in journalism school anymore. Certainly not objectivity.

And what you libs haven't figured out yet is that President Trump is killing the media with his use of Twitter. His lack of filter is slowing the process, but the people will, in future dates, turn to their handheld devices rather than the idiot talking heads for their Presidential information.

No one is getting censored, most Americans would just the media to be fair and impartial which it's not. The media, like its handlers the DNC are hell bent on bringing a President down over nothing, meanwhile for the previous 8 years they worshiped barry and never asked tough questions much less tried to bring him down

Are you kidding me with this nonsense? Dear Leader has talked about censoring the press on several occasions. He even tweeted that he thought the Senate Intel Committee should look into the news outlets about what they publish. He also talked about revoking licenses from news outlets.
Get your head out of the sand dude.

lol. Nobody is talking about silencing the press except you. I just don't GAS what Wolf Blitzer or Sean Hannity has to say about any of it because they are as close to being a reporter as I am an astronaut.

The only truthful page in the entire NY Times is the opinion page.

I'll take it unfiltered any day.

Trump's smart enough (barely) to know that he can't truly censor the press. His existence rests with his ability to blur the lines between truth and fiction. His goal from day one was to discredit the legitimate press and validate right wing propaganda. Gaslighting was a term associated with Trump at the start of his campaign. I must admit that I have been amazed at his effectiveness, but I think that is less a compliment to him and more an indictment on the general populace.
