What a biased, idiot, a-hole. Everybody is lying, please. Only Bowles is lying, likely because he was pissed about playing time. Certainly, Bowles was questioned before the first filing of the suit. Then why is this just coming out now.

Sworn affidavit, why not if there if no recording on either side, there would be no way to disprove it. Just more he said, she said and positioning by the plaintiffs attorney.

I really struggle to believe Butch would do treat anyone poorly for helping the alleged victim.

Being a smart ass and stating that UT defenders are suggesting a conspiracy by saying the women all lied is not factual, but a straw man.

Only one addressed the Bowles situation as hear-say and the rest did not comment on it. I guess anyone with the IQ of a turnip can get a show on espn.

I would ban ESPN from UT and no more trips there once they resolve this case.

Seriously, &^^*^ ESPN and (*&(*& the Tennessean and their leftist ()*)(* reporters.

GBO, Punch a Yankee Traitor, Free Butch!

Yeah, considering the SEC television deal with ESPN, I don't think they need to worry about getting banned.

Sorry but we are going to have to get used to the media outcry and their rush to judgement. That is just how it works now when sexual assault allegations are involved. The accuser gets the benefit of the doubt (even a certified whack job like Jamie Naughright) until there is no doubt anymore about what happened (see the Duke lacrosse case).

really Sammy, the yankee thing was a joke.

You are an idiot too if you read that post was anti-women.

Pointing out the clear bias and lack of reporters logic is fair.

Video on ESPN, starts off ok then rants about Butch. Sets up a weak straw man regarding collusion of alleged victims to lie about Butch which is not close to being factual or plausible.

Then acts indignant because he satisfied his pea-sized, speak-and-spell intellect regarding the issue.

What did he say?

He said IF the allegations were true that Butch should be fired and anyone with half a brain would have to agree. No one wants a leader who would admonish a young man from doing the right thing.

He said IF many times. He did say he doubts that every woman in the suit is lying. Again, most people that can use common sense would agree with that statement. This isn't Duke where one person made it up. Now, all 8 telling the truth? Using logic, probably not.

Blind homerism makes the Tn fan base look as bad as the PR dept on the hill is currently.

I was almost laughing watching that clip today. Michael Smith has always been a hack job. The fact that he was saying he finds it hard to believe that "all 8 girls are lying about Butch" shows that he either has no clue what he is talking about or he is blatantly trying to throw out propaganda (considering 8 girls aren't even accusing Butch). Either way he doesn't deserve a microphone. I guess I am part of the problem since I clicked on it.

You do know that there's not 8 rapes involved in this lawsuit, right? Some of the plaintiffs are witnesses or have some stake in the proceedings. The allegations generating this whole mess doesn't reach double figures, so yeah...I think it's entirely possible SOME of these charges are false. Through my niece, I'm aware that Yemi has a rape on him that wasn't even reported.

This is a good example of the spin job being projected by the media, IMO. If one reads this with no understanding of the actual case, he would conclude that 8 women are accusing Butch Jones of sexual assault. Maybe it's not blind homerism, but simply waiting for the final verdict before assuming the accusations are true.

And it doesn't matter if he said "if", his tone was saying "guilty" from start to finish. His sidekick Skip just went ahead and rid the "if" from the conversation.

Is that that clown on His and Hers? I refuse to watch that nonsense. And yes, UT should be taking good notes on who gave us the benefit of the doubt,
and who didn't, and use that for leverage in the future. Most of what I've heard on ESPN so far has been relatively fair in a wait and see frame, but there
are those like Smith and those two retards on First Take I refuse to watch.

This lawsuit isn't going anywhere but it will die down in the media. This summer could potentially make or break this whole thing. Just buckle up and hang on.

You mean in addition to the one reported in the lawsuit? If so, wow! :ermm:

Yeah, those damn leftists and their support of women! Burn em all!! Rebel flag!!!!!

So to your small, closed, warped little leftist mind, "supporting women" means calling any male involved a liar in this lawsuit before the first witness is called in a court of law? Yep, sounds about right.

Nope. ESPN and social media will try this case based on their rules, and it won't die down.

Just withstand the next 2 weeks and March Madness will begin...then Opening Day of MLB, the Masters, etc.

There is nothing else going on in sports right now.

He said IF the allegations were true that Butch should be fired and anyone with half a brain would have to agree.

This is the a phrase I keep hearing folks say, but what are the odds that CBJ or any coach had a clear understanding of the truth of what happened with AJ, Williams, and the accuser that night? I don't know that anyone still has an absolute understanding of exactly what happened that night. AJ and Williams are free men over 1 year later so obviously the legal system didn't have a slam dunk understanding of what happened that night.

Every reasonable scenario I can imagine has CBJ trying to get to the bottom of what occurred. Wasn't this alleged Bowles "traitor" claim the day after the night in question? So at that point all CBJ most likely knew was that a party girl who had a past sexual relationship with AJ was now making an assault claim against him. AJ's adamantly denying it was anything other than consensual and then you find out one of his team mates is encouraging the girl to go to the police. AJ's showing CBJ and probably the entire team have seen the texts sent by the accused asking AJ to "hook up" along with knowing the past habits of the accused. Team's pissed at Bowles because from what they know it probably does appear Bowles is taking sides against his team captain in a classic "he said / she said".

To be honest, the morning after he would have appeared to be taking sides against his team since there is still nothing more here than a "he said / she said" and not much has changed since then. Unless there's more evidence than what's leaked out to date, then the case should never come to trial.

The media has a short attention span and other big news will capture its attention for the next few months, so this will soon die down until this summer for AJ's and William's respective trials, or when Butch speaks at media days. Of course, this is assuming the plaintiff's lawyer doesn't keep amending the lawsuit with new charges, as he did with the charge against Butch this week. If that happens then obviously it will be front and center again.
