Not really. I know a little more history than the past 365 days.

Then you’d know UF has two in-state rivals with a combined 8 national titles, so traveling west to find quality OOC competition wasn’t exactly a requirement....unlike other schools with a limited recruiting base and no relevant OOC competition in-state.

Granted, the CFP era changes all that, and we’ve got H&Hs scheduled out west for the foreseeable future.

Not weak at all. Comparing what UT has been willing to take on OOC over the past few decades versus what UF has taken on, is well, just laughable.

But stick with the excuse of those fierce in state OOC rivals.

It is weak considering UT has to travel to find quality OOC, and historically FSU plus an SEC schedule (with Miami sprinkled in a half dozen times) was more than good enough for UF’s SOS.

Pre-CFP, UT had to travel and UF didn’t. It’s really that simple.

Extremely weak argument on your part.

Whew, Miami OOC is rough. Let me go grab my starter jacket and Walkman now.

Mine does as well, but in the last 365 days we did lose to 2 really weak OOC opponents. We don’t really have much room to talk $hit to anyone about their OOC games let alone to Gator fans in general. It’s a sad reality, but it is what it is.

I wasnt discussing winning and losing. Was discussing scheduling. And UF has certainly been happy to live off the glory days of 2 ACC middlers for awhile.

We were at the Sugar Bowl at Vols pasted a great Miami team 35-7. Tiny patch of overconfident 'Cane fans overwhelmed by a sea of BIG ORANGE!

In all of those ESPN specials lauding the great Miami era of swagger in the 80s and early 90s, they always conveniently leave that game out of the shows. They show the Fiesta Bowl from the following year at how, Penn St snuck by them in that one but they never even mention the complete beat down, the Vols put on the Canes in New Orleans.

Miami is on the verge of slipping back to the level they were in the 1970s
I think they are already there. I remember alot of people including myself thought they would do really well in the ACC when they joined in 2004 and 15 years later they have not one ACC title to show for it and many below subpar seasons.

I agree that UF should’ve expanded their scheduling footprint more than what they did for awhile. I think FSU will eventually be good again, they have made the CFP, so it’s not like they’ve been irrelevant for long and it’s like the Gators have good for long either. Miami is kind of a mystery. They still live on all that swagger BS . “Is this the year The U brings that swagger”? The answer since 02 is no . I hate that crap and all 20 of their fans.

I think Mike Norvell guides FSU to an 8-4 record in 2020

The Miami fans back when Miami was a national power only showed up for home games when they were playing FSU or Notre Dame
No they didn't, they were there for almost every game...Only games they didn't pack the place for were against the small schools like fcs schools...Other than that the orange bowl was pretty electric during those days.
