The NCAA could reinstate them pretty quick, ala Cam Newton. That said, if I'm Miami I would just go ahead and sit these kids as they'll wind up vacating every game the kids play in anyway.

They need to let Golden leave so he can take on a job that's not going to be the 10s version of 90s SMU.

I still think back to ESPN asking Harris last year what he needed to do to improve and he said, and I quote, "I need to be more smarter"...Even my wife laughed at that one..

I don't know how involved any of these players were, but it really bothers me that this may ruin some of these kids' chances at making a decent living while the President of U of Miami, Board of Directors, Randy Shannon and previous coaches, in comparison walk away squeeky clean. Sure, the President or AD may end up getting fired, but the impact that will have on their lives is nothing compared to these athletes.

These players knew exactly what they were doing. They are not innocent.

This is a flashback. The SMU deal happened when I was going to be a jr or sr in HS and a ton of kids that had no business playing D1 football, myself included, thought about going to SMU because they would take anybody on the team.

A 16 year old kid who has sex with a teacher knows what he/she is doing as well, but that doesn't mean they are as guilty as the teacher.... A lot of these boosters prey on these kids, and make millions off of college football, and when one of them gives a player some money to take his girlfriend out to a nice dinner that they can't afford, you are asking a lot out of a player to turn that down... Are they guilty? yes. To the same extent as the adults who's careers center around the exploitation of these kids? No. But unfortunately the punishments rarely reflect this. Presidents, AD, and Coaches get off squeeky clean while the kids are never heard from again.
