In this mornings sports page, news reporter Joseph Goodman jgoodman@miamiherald.com slams Kiffin and basically blames Kiffin for the arrest of Nu'Kese, Jackson and Edwards. I'm so pissed about this and think we should flood him with emails because I can't figure out why it's Kiffin's fault-He can't babysit these guys! The reported has a half a page article in the sports page and basically say this. Here is the link http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/colleges/story/1330746.html

He says that Kiffin forced Nu'Kese to lie during his recruitment, Kiffin bashed Pahokee and instead of just getting recruits that Kiffin failed Nu'kese by allowing this to happen. He also says that Kiffin spent $25,000 on billboards here in South Florida but now will no longer be getting recruits or top players here in South Florida because of his brashness and the problems now at the Univ. of Tennessee. He also references to the Univ. President Jan Simek statements about the University and says "We'll Dr. Simek the university has certainly had a impact on Nu'kese haven't they" in a sarcastic way. You can certainly see the hatred towards the Vols by other states, cities and so on because they fear us, which by the way I think is funny!!! The reporter is a frekin moron and he needs to look at Thug University here at UM after UM "I refuse to call them The U" has had robberies, arrest and even a player shot and killed "Bryan Pata" and they still haven't even found the killer and had a drive by involving 2 players last year.

On a note to Joseph "the reporter" we will get your South Florida players and there is nothing you, UM, Gators or Seminoles can do about it ass^%&$!!!!!! :)

This is the pushback that you get when you brag about a clean program and prop up one or two recruits as major victories. It is calculated risk. I'm not saying Kiffin is wrong, but he certainly has to deal with this kind of fallout.

Which is why the guys at PTI said he needs to shut his hole about such records.

While searching for the article on the Miami Herald site, I noticed he does a Gator blog too.

His logic that that Kiffin's complaints against SEC refs led to this is brilliant.

What do you expect... the press is looking for a story, any story.... this is a STORY, so they are looking at any angle they can to get one... Kifffin is at the top of the Tennessee flag pole where the wind blows the hardest.... GO VOLS

The fact we are hated so badly proves to me we are on the right track.

I understand that but this reporter didn't comment when canes Byran Pata was shot and killed and the drive by shooting last year on the UM campus and how many players have the gators had arrested including this year and the seminoles had one of the biggest scandals "cheating" of all time and had players arrested also! They are just player hating! I hope we keep all the recruits from Miami this year and hope we get Gore, Bridgewater, Godfrey and Perryman to shut their mouths! This is a negative pitch so the recruits down here can read and hear about it to hurt Gran's recruiting down here in South Florida but thats fine we will just keep getting all the Georgia boys as a back-up!

I expect that he has learned his lesson.

Of course the flip side is that he has given all three of these guys fair opportunity to compete at a D1 level as freshmen. That puts them in a very small percentile. In the scheme of things, I think that opportunity will always trump all other factors.

I'm not saying he isn't biased. Just that the door is wide open for this kind of criticism.

I agree and anyhow, when the canes were winning all those NC with thugs nobody said nothing and other teams feared them however, I got the last laugh when the Vols came into the Orange bowl and won breaking their home win streak! I remember the canes fan absolutely stunned that day after the game that I was at that day including sitting with canes friends, I almost had to walk home that day they were crying so much!! :eek:lol:

Lex, I don't remember CLK making any comments re: Lil Wayne's mention of him. May be a good idea to distance himself from that. Agree?

I think it is calculated risk as well. It would be best not to promote or denounce. Just ignore...I could be wrong.

I think the rap angle is vastly overplayed. Yes the lyrics are despicable... but there are many songs of other genres that are anti-establishment.

If a kid cannot discern music from reality, then they are ignorant.

The funny part for me was I went to the game with one of my supervisors whose father is a big UM donater and the tickets were free because they knew I'm from Tennessee and a big Vols fan and the tickets were on the 50 yd line so they took me. Him and his sons were ragging me the whole time about UM and how they were going to beat us by 50 and blau, blau, blau. I'm serious he got so pissed after the game and got into a argument with me after and almost made me walk home because I rode with him!! lol lol ADVICE: Never ride to a game with the opposing fans!

I'd say for many of the players the content in gangster rap is a reality back home.

Very true. But they've gotta be man enough to not accept that lifestyle.

I am just saying I don't buy some of the people who have blamed this on rap music.

And let it be known I don't listen to that garbage.

Honestly, from a Miami paper? That would be like the LA Times writing an article to the city of New York how to get out of its financial downfall.
