Very true statement. I have been in on hiring decisions on coaching staffs before and the main question we always asked was "does this person make our staff better?" If they did not then we did not hire them. If you want to win, you hire the best available and do not worry about silly things like 'is this person better than me'! Leadership 101, surround yourself with good quality people and let them work.

Didn't this guy also say last night that Miami had hired Fisher? I thought I read that somewhere.

Schefter just said on Twitter that Fish is still deciding between Miami and St Louis, and will make a decision next week.

I listen to this guy Armando, "The Amigo", from time to time but there are better options down here. He doesn't know any more than what is being rumored on here. It just looks better because it is coming from south Florida. Don't waste your time trying to find him online thinking you are going to get some kind of inside scoop. This guy doesn't have the connections of say another radio azz clown like Joe Rose who has a turd permanentley planted on his nose from sniffing around the U of Miami.

I hope this stuff is true. I also remember reading on here that the ink was almost dry on the contract that Rich Rod signed with Bama, and we all know how that one turned out.

I admit I am getting a little worried. I was one who several days ago became all excited when the "word" first broke that RS was on his way. The fact there has been no announcement yet, several sources saying UT has denied, i just dont understand. IMO opinion, with recruits on the line, the sooner the better. Maybe it is just some technicalities, but sure seems like if it was a matter of working out paperwork they would make the announcement "has been hired in principle", which is what usually happens. I hope it happens, but im a little gun shy now.

Maybe they want to keep it quiet until monday so it can be BIG news right before and during the National Championship game. That would be good (not to mention free) publicity for UT on a national platform.;)

We really should just chill until Monday and enjoy the surprise or cry into our Jack Daniels . Either way we won't know anything for certain until they confirm it officially and we are currently foaming at the mouth far worse than even South Carolina fans at the first mention of getting Steve Spurrier. It's sad we've been reduced to wetting our pants at the mention of a possible DC hire.
