There is a difference between someone who swoops in and posts aggravating comments and then is gone (troll), versus rival fans who, by posting theories, comments, or facts that promote their program at the expense of yours, challenge you to see things a different way.

Just because someone says that UT is down right now or that Kiffin is going to prove to be a mistake, does not make him a troll. If he says it and skedaddles, it does. But if he says it and sticks around and defends it, that makes them a valuable contributor to the discussion, IMO.

Yeah LG, I'll have to say you do occasionally provide a civil discussion on the state of the Vols, however guys like fish post things like.. hahaha.
"were going to be so much better than you years from now... you just wait and see!" hahaha. silly vols That's a jerk post if I've ever seen one. No one wants to read that garbage

Thank you. After rereading the theory he posted I respect his comments and appreciate the facts presented. I now see things in a different way.

Be a shame if a team with players comparable to Troy beats him in Knoxville next year with Cameron Newton at quarterback.

sorry, but a recurring theme I've found on vn is the attitude "enjoy it now, because it will soon be over." give me a break, there's no telling how good either program will be 2-3 years from now than there was 2-3 years ago. remember how tebow would never pan out as a starting qb? florida could just as well still be on top OR ut could prove everyone wrong and blow the competition away. there are reasons for and against both. but to sit here and say-with certainty- that florida will fall flat on its face and ut will undoubtedly be a top program is laughable. there are a million unknowns that will effect the future of program.
its even worse when you use the fact that kiffin is 3-0 vs meyer in recruiting- a.) its debateable how much each program wanted/pursued the recruits and
b.) nothing matters til kickoff. atleast all I care about is game records. yes, meyer is 0-0 vs. kiff. but i'll take meyers track record against rivals.

Thanks fish. I knew you had it in you . Alot of the talk amongst us VOL fans is due to the fact our record was just awful last year. We're so anxious to field a team thats competitive this year, some of us are really reaching at times. That being said, I DO believe we will have a much improved product on the field this season, and I feel it won't be long before the playing field will level between your mighty gators and the Vols.

These recruiting losses to UT are a definitely a sign of future beatings to come. You guys will continue to get elite spread offense players but we will be stocking up on pro-style talent and future NFL defensive talent.

I have to call you out on this. This could quite possibly be the funniest take I have ever read. So things have gotten so bad that you pretend Meyer's 4-0 record against Tennessee doesn't exist so you have to keep score on recruiting and pretend that Fulmer was never the coach??? Wow.

As for the other part. UF recruits players to win championships at the college level. Perhaps Tennessee should follow suit.
