He said "My staff and I feel like Troy might have some better skill people than some of the other teams we will play the rest of the year"

Not sure how that misconstrued into a disrespect for UT.

Kiffin should definatley use this for motivation. I mean Meyer called out our players skill and compared them to a lower tier confrence team, basically saying they aren't a worth SEC team. This is more motivation that Kiffin has done towards the Florida players (all of his has been pointed at Urby.)

I would never stop smiling the rest of my life if we beat Florida.

Really? That's what he ACTUALLY said? It was reported on here that he said they had more talent than the next team the Gators played, which was UT.

Far different than what people posted here yesterday.

It is pretty low to take a shot at the players. If he is gonna take a shot at anyone it should be CLK.

i have to agree. it seems to be an insult to much of the Gators competition. honestly, they dont play anyone really threatening. LSU, UGA, and Florida State are the only real competition they have on their schedule, and LSU and UGA could be real good or just average, no one knows yet. I think FSU will be ACC runner up. Either way, nothing seems to difficult.

It would seem like hes calling out everyone. You dont compare Troy to the likes of any SEC team; even Vandy can surprise some people here and there. I dont know who it will be, but i hope someone sucker punches those gators and knocks them out of the title race. the Big12 title winner will go the the NCG...i only hope some crapy Big10 team goes undefeated too soo UF cant get in with one loss :)

Sound like this is more of a compliment to Troy than a slap to UT specifically (especially if he said the rest of the year and not actually "the next team"). As someone who went to a smaller school I enjoy when major conference coaches acknowledge and give credit to lower tier programs that have legitimate athletes and success (when it's deserved).

Does anyone think the SEC commissioner will care if Meyer make openly derogatory remarks about another SEC team? Surely not if it is BLUEBOY.

Florida is still the defending champs. They have owned us the past four years. Until we show SOMETHING worth bragging about against Florida, my mouth will stay shut. This is no way downgrades the amount of hate I have for Florida. The thought of losing to them again, makes me sick. Can't we get a transcript of his remarks and check for sure. If he said "the next team" I belevie even UF fans would admit that was a low blow - calling out the players at UT.

i have to admit that i've been ambivalent about you in the past, but your stock is suddenly on a meteoric rise in my book.
