Anyone else catch the Heisman preview show last night? They were discussing Berry as being the upset canidate to knock off the big 3 QB's. They then went to a interview with Meyer and then Tebow. Meyer said "I have no problem with Berry being the Heisman" and of course Tebow gave the normal credit that he usually does.

Florida is Berry's game to win it or lose it--al la Peyton.
If Berry has a monster game @ UF, even if Vols lose, he makes a big jump. If UT should win---Berry's the front-runner. With the new SEC TV package, Eric will have his opportunities----but he will need some big stats in big games. Colt McCoy will have some numbers at Texas.

Colt and Sam will both have the numbers again this year.

They would all be fine with EB winning the Heisman until he actually did. I just don't think that we are going to be putting enough behind EB to actually allow him to win. I know by seasons end, he will have compiled the highlight reel footage to be a contender, but the measley amount of money and effort the University is putting behind him will not help is chances at all. So as fans we all need to make every effort possible to get is name out there and make this a reality. GO VOLS!!!!! 8 Days left!!1

You're right. He has to show against Tebow this year to stand a chance. We can't watch his freshman highlight forever!

One pick keeps him in the conversation. Two picks and a TN win puts him in the lead for the time being.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like it will be an accomplishment if he gets the invite to the Heisman ceremony. No one is really giving him a chance because he is on Defense. While at the same time they all say he is the best athlete in football (well except for the one idiot on ESPN last night who says Mays is better). However, it is a shame the school isn't throwing some more money behind this. Hopefully, if he has that monster game at FL they will take another look at backing him.

The powers that be at ESPn and ABC will not allow Berry to win the Heisman. It will probably go to the Texas QB, even though Tebow is better.

He doesn't necessarily need the Ints---just some killer shots---knock some balls out---knock some players silly---get a few stops behind the LOS--you know---Berry being Berry. :clapping:

We would love ESPN forever if they got behind Berry and pushed for him like they did Woodson......but it ain't gonna happen. It would be nice though.
