In an attempt to get this thread back on Mexican Food. . .

Twenty yers ago we stayed in an appartment for 6 months while our house was being built. Appartment #1313 no less, which while on the second floor, was pretty close to the entrance and overlooked the tennis court.

Pretty much every Saturday morning in the summer the Tennis Court would develop a huge case of the Chicken Pox. Upon closer inspection we found it to be covered with tortillas drying in the sun.

Never sampled them, but that must have been some food with character.

Salt of the earth, no less.
