I just wanted to say that he's a stand out guy and a great speaker.

One thing I didn't know is that he's been at the University since the mid 90's.

IMO he's got one of the greatest jobs out there but toughest. As we all know he has to make tough decisions all the time and every choice is going to get scrutiny.

He bleeds orange and it's funny some of the harsh things that are said about him and other coaches on here. You're kidding yourself if you don't think it gets back to them one way or another.

Just my:twocents:

Go Vols.

I like how Mr. Hamilton mingles in the crowd during pregame outside of Neyland. That says alot that somebody in such a highly criticized position does not mind being amongst those who criticize him the most. That speaks very highly of him from an integrity stand point.

I think he's a great guy. I saw him shopping at WalMart and I had a UT hat on. He looked over at me as we passed by each other and smiled and gave me an approving nod. It didn't hit me right away that it was Mike, but after about 5 seconds I realized it was him and thought that was kind of cool.

I'd like him better if he would just hand Todd Raleigh a ceremonial Japanese dagger and tell him to do the honorable thing. :)

This is Tennessee. Use a shotgun.

Maybe he could let him kick a safe and die of gangrene in his broken foot. That was good enough for Jack Daniels.

You've obviously never met Hamilton when he's not doing his AD thing. That guy is the biggest prick on the planet.

The interesting fact I found about him when I read his bio, is he adopted 3 children I think from Africa. He seems like a good person. I think his last football hire will make or break him though.

Yada yada yada. 12 years and counting since Tennessee did anything of note in football. Should be enough to get any good guy fired, especially at a football school. I think you got it all wrong, it's the people keeping him in the AD's position that are the nice guys, a little too nice and forgiving if you ask me.

I hope Pearl gets Tennessee to a final four or elite eight, then will see how good a job Mike does of hanging on to Pearl at a football school. Mikey better not lose his golden parachute, or its curtains for him. Wouldn't that be terrible, not.
