Chasing a squirrel here, but I'm a huge fan of Grant and Sherman. Being a literal "Son of the South", this has caused me no small share of grief over the years. That being said, my family has roots in the southern Appalachians, and that area was more Union-leaning than Confederate, so maybe it's just in my DNA.

I've read a number of books about the history, experiences, strategy, and unique relationship between Grant and Sherman. Each one brilliant in their own way, and also damaged in their own unique way. But as a pair, they were among the best wartime commanders this nation has ever seen. Right up there with Ike and George, IMO.

Just thought I'd share that useless tidbit.

Go Vols.

Should be right at home in East TN. Maryville has a statue to Sherman.

I’m sure whatever he said will have y’all revising your predicted win total for next year up by an average of about 1.3 wins

I am totally underwhelmed by this hire, needs to hire a STUD at DC, let them hire their own staff, build talented depth, and stay outta the way. Even then his offense needs top tier talent and I'm not sure he can bring them in on a consistent basis.

Either way Go Big Orange, put on more steam

Does anybody have the clip (or know where to find it) of Heuple's address to the fans at TBA during tonights game against Kansas? The tv broadcast was too busy shoving Vital's nauseating voice in our ears to hear what he might have said.

No. 18 Tennessee embarrasses No. 15 Kansas in 80-61 rout
