Guess what post count to start a new thread was never implemented.

3rd thread of the day from OP trying to get a rise out of Volnation. (Running backs & Manuscalco were the other). Trying to get his troll cred up would be my guess......problem is we keep feeding him.

Think he bolts ? He can't beat out Fazion
I’ve wondered, but that requires a lot of ifs, ands and elses that have yet to be defined.

Lots of Heup about Mac, but Merk could dig deep and stay ahead of Mac. Mac could RS and so could Faizon. Faizon could bust. I think Heupel will look out for Merk’s career and suggest he transfer if it absolutely makes sense for him. For now, I think Merk toughs it out and waits to see how the chips fall.

There is NIL to consider. There may be a team willing to upgrade his current pay, and he may become the starter before season ends if JA is injured or is not effective.

Aguilar lights it up this year, is offered a lucrative NIL deal that’s worth way more he could make in the NFL, petitions for and receives a “Pavia year”, starts in 26

Merklinger transfers at the end of this season

MacIntyre and Brandon battle it out for starter in 27

Relax, season starts soon and this is a place to talk Tennessee football.

I apologize.......dont know what came over me. You can tell by my sentence structure how enraged and careless I was with my divisive words. Thank you for snapping me out of it. I actually think I blacked out at some point.

Brandon or Gmac would transfer before 27 under this scenario.

Merk is getting paid more as a backup at UT than most starter jobs would be paying. Harrison Bailey is in the same spot in Gainesville as he would have been had he stayed in Knoxville. Idk.. Maybe he wants to learn a new system and start over?

Surely everyone understands that being good in practice is a lot of “pretend”. At some point,
winning the job means making the best impression on a couple of coaches.

No one knows how this season plays out at this juncture at the QB position. Depending on how that does play out, Brandon could end up signing elsewhere..

Merk will remain #2 on the depth chart to keep him engaged. So he’ll be the next guy up in mop up duty. Then, if Aguilar gets hurt, they’ll both get a shot and best man wins.
