The one with three pages of nonsense about him entering the portal, quoting some rando on twitter? I thought we needed a fresh start. lol.@Freak there's already a thread![]()

The system will have to be fixed at some point.Still kind of a bummer that now every time a player leaves or gets injured (McCoy-Gibson), the other players at the position don’t primarily see it as an opportunity to step up their preparation or leadership, but as an opportunity to leverage some more money out of the NIL fund. I get it, but still a bummer
Yeah. Not a fan of rewarding someone who has proven nothing. Wasted money on Nico sitting on the bench then being mediocre. Last year if we spent majorly on a QB via the portal the season may have been better.Still kind of a bummer that now every time a player leaves or gets injured (McCoy-Gibson), the other players at the position don’t primarily see it as an opportunity to step up their preparation or leadership, but as an opportunity to leverage some more money out of the NIL fund. It's a market thing. Hate it, but that's where we're at right now. Let's give him a chanceYeah. Not a fan of rewarding someone who has proven nothing. Wasted money on Nico sitting on the bench then being mediocre. Last year if we spent majorly on a QB via the portal the season may have been better.
Are we paying Merk 4 million per year? Did he holdout and skip practices while demanding a pay increase? If you answer those questions, you’ll probably have your answer.
Gained another year in the system and has the advantage to become starter.I don't care if it's not close to the demands Nico was making. The point still remains that we didn't pay Nico cause his production last year didn't warrant a bump in salary. So what did Merk do last year to warrant a bump in salary?
I disagree. What is the difference in terms?I would think a legit opportunity to start and then set his market value should be plenty enough to keep him here. Maybe the staff felt bad for paying Aguilar, a guy who just joined the team, more money and wanted to keep a healthy locker room..IDK. But after that O&W game performance, I wouldn't have budged much. G-Mac is going to be the one legitimately pushing for that starting role, not Merk.
