Grades are not official until the deadline has passed for grade entering into the system. At that point, the University considers the grades final, unless appeals are made, which take paper work. The deadline for second session summer grades is the 13th, at noon.

At that point his grades will be final, and whether he can play will be decided.

Is it me or did Griff go all John Adams this year and became a major tool? Seems like in years past he would provide good information without taking sides. Now, all of sudden (this year) he's all sarcastic and well a tool especially in his tweets. Sorry for the off topic post...

Yes, he would be able to participate as much as possible without pads. Not sure what all that would be. Non or light contact drills I imagine.

According to Wes Rucker, the UT staff is not overly optimistic about Brown making the grades.

Thats BS, nothing against you Canadian, but I can guanratee you they know whether or not he is in. They went to the appropiate professors and made sure his exams where graded first.

The fact that he was there means NOTHING bout his grades. He's allowed to go to practice if he wants. He doesn't have class anymore. The ONLY thing that has changed between last week and today is that fact. No grades are official till the 13th, so he can't do anything till then.

He can't put on pads until he goes through 3 days of acclimation period with no pads.

most fans don't understand but the academic side doesn't help the athletic side very much. in most cases, they are a road block rather than assisting...
