Who would have thought that we would have a higher pre-season ranking in basketball than football? Granted that pre-season polls are useless, but it still shows recognition. Hopefully, can't believe I'm actually saying this, the football team can catch up to the basketball team.

Most years I would agree. But I think this is the season we get the fans to take UT basketball seriously. These kinds of pre-season rankings (and the more official ones closer to the start of the season) boost ticket sales and attendance - the fans start getting excited earlier and start planning to go to games. Even with fewer seats at TB, we should break attendance records this year and sell out several games (OSU, Fla, UK, Vandy to name a few).

I dont know much about BBall's preseason rankings but hopefully it wont be a trend like it is in football where top preseason ranking equals disaster

this scares me a bit too, it seems like the vols do not have a good history playing with high rankings

My point is that those two schools listed(Bama and LSU) have subpar coaches, imo. I think Bruce is will be able to keep our team focused.

I didn't realize how well Ramar played in the last game. That block at the end will keep him motivated during practice that's for sure.

i definitely have faith in Bruce...we just seem to play best when no one is talking about us, but if anyone can turn that around its bruce
