The fans blaming Coach Pruitt for the last two loses are completely out of your minds. At this level our players should be up for any game put in front of them. There was no effort on the field today from the Vols. This team has every opportunity to study films,practice to perfection and have pride in what they do. They looked like they were in a pee wee scrimmage today just wanting the game to be over. Pathetic to say the least!The coach can’t make the plays the players have to do that. Dabo took years to develop Clemson into the power house they are today. Give Pruitt time like Kentucky has given their coach time. It will happen if our fans would just get out of the way. I’ve been following the Vols since the mid sixties and we have had some legendary coaches during that time and look what we did to them. Fulmer,Major,Dickey etc....

So by your logic we should still be coached by Dooley or Jones, right?

There was no effort after the team saw do what JG does time and time again. It's really not that hard and it was only multiplied when Pruitt let him start the 2nd half.

2010 : Derek Dooley is THE guy! He wants it! Georgia is going to try to steal him from us!
2012: OMG why did we hire this guy? He's in over his head. He clearly wasn't ready to be the HC of a major program like us!

2013: Butch Jones is THE guy! He's won everywhere he's been! Notre Dame will try to steal him from us!
2016: OMG why did we hire this guy? He lost head to head to Dooley! He's only won because he followed Brian Kelly! He clearly wasn't ready to be the HC of a major program like us!

2018: Jeremy Pruitt is THE guy! He's won as DC everywhere he's been! Alabama will try to steal him from us!
2020: OMG.......

Bro Kentucky is garbage and they manhandled us. We are not striving to be like Kentucky. Pruitt is a joke of a coach by letting JG play. And that defense of his looked lost once again.

The players didn't make the decision to limit Bailey to about 10 snaps of practice all summer and fall until this past Sunday. I would imagine that Mauer and Strout hadn't had but maybe a few more. With all the issues that JG has there is NO EXCUSE to not have one of those three guys PREPARED to step in at any time during a game, NONE! That falls strictly on these coaches not the players. Its also evident that the current OL coach isn't up to par at this level judging from the weekly missed assignments and communication mistakes that according to the announcers today is a consistant problem for us. The HC should have moved on from his friend, Friend. In year 3 with 4-5 star OL and 1-4 star OL, we shoudn't have these problems. Yeah the players have some responsibility but the HC and the staff have a lot more and need to be held accountable.
