I hate Corkys...prefer Rendezvous. This has been a 5* so far.

true story-- was leaving rendezvous very late one night @ 1995 heading left in the alley and took a rt on the street. We heard a pop, my friend jumped about 5 ft in the air and said "run!".

He had been shot in the ass. We don't know if it was a stray or someone messing around, but random ass shootings aren't common in that area.

wow...course it is in an alley. I thought the area right in front of the Peabody would've been safer. I actually drove Peyton to the Peabody after he spoke at a fundraising dinner for us earlier that night. He was going to meet his girlfriend (now wife). When I pulled into the alley and stopped, you shoulda heard the cars behind me start honking till they saw who got out of the car. It was hilarious.

I'm free Wrong Hexagon. We'll meet up with Souce in Knoxville, we'll all pile into your 97 Aerostar, pick Thesher up wherever he lives, and meet up on Beale St. with 95 and get chocolate wasted while your woman goes and tends to the baby blessing. amirite?

You *******s better pick me up on the way. A Souce, Gooch, Hornflock, 95, Fuxabro weekend has all the makings of a series of pulp-fiction novels.

That's wild. Was it in the alley, Madison, or Union? Someone messing around?..:)

Rt as we were turning the corner. I think it was Madison. @ 1AM. Not many lot of people around. Rendezvous was byob, and we had byob'd like a beatch. We didn't know about his ass till we got back in the car.

Downtown is crazy. Had an issue at 3rd and vance one night. Was the most scared I have been. When we lived there, my girlfriend, now wife, wasn't allowed downtown without me.

In continuation of the initial story, buddy got shot in the ass, he yelled "run!", everyone realized he got shot once back in the car. Then what? Did yall take him to The Med? Did the cops show up?

I don't think it was the med, but it was right there near us. Maybe it was Baptist downtown. They just pulled it out. Ole PT was @ 270 lbs so that little pea shot wasn't going far.
No cops were called. I just remember him having to carry a padded "toilet seat" around for a little while and us laughing about it till early in the morning.

My mom is from Memphis. I have been there many times over the course of my life and I would not live there. If I didn't have family there I would never go. I have already seen Graceland, Beale Street, and the Pyramid. If you are not going for these attractions I would advise against it.
The Pyramid has been shut down for over 10 years goober.
