That's the general consensus among the Tiger fans. Do you guys think we will finish in the Top 25 in hoops next year?

I sense bitterness from Memphis b/c we reeled in Negedu over them. Yes we will finish in the Top 25 this year and they know that too... Just very bitter right now and I love it

Their may be some growing pains with a new point guard - but, frankly, point guard play can't be any worse than last year.

Even with the Vols relying so heavily on newcomers, I think they'll still be the favorite to win the SEC next year.

So this means Memphis has a certain loss coming to a team that will struggle to stay in the top 25.

Back court play will be the key to next year. Losing Crews didn't help either, but I think T. Smith, B. Williams, and Chism should hold down the front court. I just don't know about the guards, and they are so important in road games and the tournament. I honestly think this will be Pearl's toughest year to coach. His team isn't overly experienced and the expectations are pretty high. I think everyone is expecting him to take us beyond the sweet 16, so there is a lot of pressure to succeed. Nobody will overlook us on the schedule. Next year maybe a little dropoff, but bringing in Hopson and Negedu shows that Pearl can recruit the guys he wants, not just the guys he knows he can get. Memphis fans could be right, but they have plenty to worry about themselves. They are losing their top 2 scorers and best defensive player. I think they might struggle more than us. After all we have pretty darn good bench coach.

Pay no attention to memphis fans. They know they're second rate when it comes to athletics in general and will always be viewed as the little brother trying to play with the big boys.

This years team is probably better built for making a run in to the Final Four. I would expect possibly a few more regular season losses though. With that said, I think this team is top 10 worthy.

I love how many of you see the Vols get bounced in the second round of the SEC tournament by a team with a losing record for the season, manhandled in the Sweet 16, then lose several key starters, and you think that UT is going to be a Top 10 team and make a deep tournament run because it landed a Top 10 recruiting class.

2. I guarantee the Vols start in the top 25, most likely top 15, and end in the top 15.

3. Only one of our starters will be a freshmen.

yes we will be young but way more athletic and lets face it lofton wasent himself last yr... tatum is going to be a stud n hopson the real deal and maze has to be better then ramar and i think he will be... tyler chism n prince should be are best players and most experianced ... i think this team will be better then last yrs team and make a serious run at the title

I think TN. will be a VERY good team next year. I think with the big man signing today (he is that good), they will be a pre-season top 10 rank.

I don't and cannot understand why there is anyway possible why UT shouldn't be contending for a conference and national title next year. There is so much talent on this squad that it is ridiculous.

As a basketball fan base, UT fans have a lot to learn.

You have got to be joking me... I believe Memphis fans have more to learn, and you my friend are clueless. Learn the sport, and know our roster for next year. The depth is endless basically at every position.
