Good to see these young men stepping up like this.

It'd be nice to put the football on the back burner for a min and give them some props.

so drew richmond was one of the ones that set this up. all of you are so quick to rip him apart after games when hes far from from the problem why dont you grow up and give him some credit on something that matters far more . Great Job drew and trey and all involved
Nobody said he wasn’t a good person. He just can’t block.

You're relentless.....do you have no conscience?
I think the community outreach our players participate in is great. I don’t know Drew personally, but from what I know, he seems like a good dude. However, he was one of those undeveloped Butch recruits who never developed. It is what it is.

Glad they do this........always good to help those not as fortunate.👍🙏

That being said.....All schools do it.

Enabling homelessness in a time of historically low unemployment isnt exactly noble. Should be in the weight room imho so that the addiction problem doesn’t continue to grow for disillusioned Tennessee fans.

I think it's great that Drew and some of his teammates are giving back to their community but being a good person doesn't necessarily make someone a good football player. I watched the games this year and it appeared Drew just didn't get the new blocking schemes. Being a good person and a good football player are two different things and when you grow up, you might understand this concept. Carry on though.

I don’t think you can starve them into gainful employment. Some can be helped, especially if they want it. Others? Good luck. I see this in Knoxville all the time and wonder why no one can seem to solve this problem. Wish there was a solution, sad situation.

While there are some people who have hit hard times and cant seem to get on their feet there are also a large number of people with the mental illness that they want to beat the system. Not work, not conform to society. Rather bum for money than work. Its a mental illness and Im not sure its curable. Substance abuse is also a factor. Some people steal from family, anyone to get their fix, drink, etc. Families sometimes have no choice but throw loved ones out on the street for their own well being.

If he could only help the qb out like that. Good for him tho. He’s a good dude. Even if he’s wasting an sec scholarship lol

The fact of actually believe Tennessee is wasting a scholarship on Richmond is beyond dumb

This isn’t the thread to bash Richmond for his football play, it’s about him being a part of giving back to community. Shouldn’t have to explain that to you or anyone else. He has had multiple threads criticizing his blocking (I criticized at the time, also). Give the kid his due. We all want our young people to do these things, but complain because of a totally different issue.
