As the dad of a 16 year old 6'2" 305 pounder, I'm living it. Daily trips to the market.
Toughest thing is managing the quality of nutrition.
ha....my grandfather smoked for 70 years and i think he had bacon and eggs for breakfast every. day.Good luck with the "quality of nutrition" thing going on at your house. At that age, they'll burn off the junk stuff pretty easy. Back in the day when people worked physically sun up to sun down, biscuits and gravy were appetizers and not a lot of fat people were out in them fields and pastures putting up hay and such.
Cokes. It's all about the sugared drinks!Good luck with the "quality of nutrition" thing going on at your house. At that age, they'll burn off the junk stuff pretty easy. i think if you go back and dive in to Butch's classes, you'll find there were a lot of smoke and mirrors that led to those top 7 classes he got. signing 30+ kids per class gets a high point total, so the ranking gets bumped up. on player rating averages, there were 5-10 teams in either cylce that signed fewer players, but had overall better player ratings.Recruiting was never Butch’s problem (until it was evident he suck).
Anyone with half a pulse can recruit kids to Knoxville. It’s what happens after they GET here...
yep those are some good names and i didn't mean to come off like there wasn't any good players brought in.No doubt, some of his classes were inflated by numbers, but he certainly brought in fair enough talent to compete at a high-level.

Shoot... dude brought in the #1 TE in HS, and that dude wasn’t even a TE.
The fact that a lot of them didn’t materialize to much is an indictment on the best coaching staff in America. Any of them could’ve named their school.
Yes. Six year old is 4'6" & 125 pounds. He'll be 7 next month. His favorite sport is eating. Mine is grocery shopping..
Tennessee needs to sign Louisville middle school giant Kiyaunta Goodwin who is 6'7'' 370Years ago when I helped out a juniors team in a football league 12 year olds over 125 ilbs could not play in the backfield, they had to be OL players, we had some of these but not many. If you got a 125 lb 6 year old, you gotchu a big ol' boy on your hands, congrats!!

just that the lofty rankings they had, were probably pretty overstated b/c of the #'s. we sign these guys, with a normal # of signees, and those classes are outside the top 10, and not nearly as noteworthy as some believe they are.
What is the "team rankings" formula?
Rivals Rating points for a team's Top 20 rated commits + Rivals250 Bonus Points = Total Points
