It all depends on his 40 time.

Run something crazy and he might crack the top 15 if not 10.

I have never understood the speed component, coughs, Troy Williamson, but hey, whatever works, right?

Doubtful on top 10. I'm not sure a ton in the top 10 will be pulling for a WR other than Calvin Johnson and maybe Dwayne Jarrett. If he runs a sub 4.4, he definitely goes 1st round. 4.4-4.45 will be riding the fence. 4.5 and back will be 2nd round or worse.

Some crazy GM will fall in love with him if he runs under a 4.4.

Meachem will NOT go 15 or higher. I think he should thank his lucky stars if he goes in Round 1... I love him, he had a nice year, but he has NOT shown me the marquee type play that a Calvin Johnson, Jarrett, and some of our past guys did.

i think in the back of nfl scout's mind, they question how good his hands are. he won't make it in the NFL as a clutch receiver IMO unless they improve a lot. He's better suited to be the deep threat receiver. i think he needs a scorching 40 time to go first round

Donte Stallworth ran a 4.23 or 4.19 and didn't crack the top 10.

Good point.

IMO no way do NFL scouts waste a first round draft pick on a player with a history of dropping passes and getting injured. He would have to have a phenomenal 40 time for that to happen.

Why are people falling in love with Jarret? All he is, is another Mike Williams.

Not even close. Jarrett is fast. Mike Williams was big and slow. Plus, Jarrett is just completing his third outstanding year as a receiver. Williams had one year. Mike Williams could take steroids for the next five years and he still wouldn't be half the receiver Jarrett is.

Doesn't everyone know that every WR from a certain college is the SAME type of WR? I mean, if Mike Williams is from USC and is a bust, then Dwayne Jarrett has to be, too.

Dude. Robert Meachem is just another Marcus Nash. Peyton Manning is just another Heath Shuler.

Seriously though, Mike Williams was super-overrated. He wasn't even the best WR on his team. I'd take Keary Colbert over him.

He has made himself eligible for the NFL draft (the deadline for all underclassmen to do so was TODAY, Monday) ... BUT ... the deadline for underclassmen to remove themselves from the NFL draft ONLY IF they have NOT hire an agent, etc. is by Thursday...

Thursday is the deadline we need to be lookin' at for Meachem to come back to U.T. but I think he's bound for the No Fun League...too bad :cray:
