My fiend who is in the know, said it the stadium isn't ready which he said it's most definitely not going to be, Tn takes a loss that's worth 3 losses. It's worth getting upset over.

I'll give you my two cents on this matter. My best friend is working on this stadium (megatrons butthole) and he just told me the other day it probably wont be ready for next season. Take it for what it's worth. Will see soon enough. They are working on it 24/7.

Got this in a email for my Peach Bowl ticket renewals. They pushed the renewal date from April 4th to May 15th.

"As work continues on Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we want to make certain that we are fully prepared for transitioning our customers from the Georgia Dome into the new facility. There are some important details still being finalized in the stadium that are taking a little longer than we originally expected, so we now plan to send out our renewals on May 15 rather than April 4. This will allow us to make the ticketing process for this year’s games as smooth as it can possibly be."

There could be some legitimate transition issues - or they could be seeing that it might not be ready.

I spoke with Darren Eales last week and said he sees no problem with the stadium being open by Football season, however Atlanta United might have to change a couple of their games.

The Atlanta Falcons will ostensibly begin play this fall in their new stadium (with its eight-petal retractable roof, which Drew referred to as “Megatron’s Butthole” and now I cannot think of it any other way). Except: the stadium was supposed to be open by now. But it wasn’t ready, so they pushed it back. Then they pushed it back again. Now they’re planning to delay its opening even further, and it’s getting worrying close to football season.

Two comments:

1. Does anyone know of the contingency plan if the new Atlanta stadium is not opened (pun intended) up in time for the UT-GTECH game?

2. Isn't Megatron's Butthole the best nickname for a stadium ever? If I started a heavy metal band, that would have to be the band's name.
