I have been disgusted by many of the talking heads who think that a lot of this anti-Schiano sentiment is based in disappointment from not landing Gruden.

They don't seem to get that it isn't that Schiano wasn't our first choice that's the issue. The problem is he should have been the last choice given his history, record, and relationships with our legacies, but apparently has been on the top of Currie's board for a while. Currie's deceitfulness and sheer shock of failure is why this is so bad.

Too many people with way too little knowledge of our program are going to further sink this program by making the fan base seem like rabid dogs.

I for one have NEVER been more proud to be a VOL than I was today to see the combined might of Volnation crush Currie's idiocy. And we should launch an all out campaign to discredit these people who would seek to harm this university and fan base.

Yes...and everyone needs to read the transcript.

It's not just about wins and losses, and it's not just about morality. It is a combination that has created this crapstorm we are living in today. But, to anyone saying "Hey UT, you guys aren't an elite program anymore," I respond with this.

Its been a long time coming. Us Tennessee fans have sat by idly and watched as Randolph, Mortimer and the AD turn our beloved football program into a complete laughingstock. Yet today, we finally showed up in full force. I am so proud of VN and any Vol fan who thought this whole situation was BS.

The media personalities who are bashing us fans in any fashion can frankly go to hell. They havent went through what we have since firing Fulmer.

Honestly so much ELITISM by the media. Do the fans who pay much of the bills, not get a say in who we are hiring?

They laugh it off as the most outlandish thing someone could say. I hope other fan bases would do the same.

Start a new fan uprising against media corruption, call it Vol Spring.

Got to love how the world works now days..........you have to like what they like and believe what they believe..............or your the devil.

Good for O-ST, good for the media, good for anyone if they like Greg the Douche........but why do we have to?

This used to be a free country where you could like what you like and want what you want.......not anymore.

If the Tennessee people, and Tennessee Vol's fans dont want him that is our business.....not anyone elses.

The media should be showing how people and fans stood up, took to social media, called their lawmakers, and let their voices be heard........and for once made a difference.

Uh, we, or at least I will speak for myself, have actually been going through this since that first 5-6 turd that Fulmer laid on us in 2005. It started under his watch.

I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this demonized fan based than I am today. We may have a bunch of buttholes in our fan base but today we all stood together and showed we had morals.

The media would criticize us for hiring a .500 coach and criticize us for backing out....There's a moral to the story, stay away from .500 coaches with connections to Sandusky.

Im so proud of our fan base. And I’ve heard from other fan bases that have said kudos.

All embarrassment lays at the feet of our AD and Chancellor who hired him and undoubtedly approved the move to hire Shiano.

If Schiano was a Hollywood producer, a celebrity, or a politician, the media would be after him with torches and pitchforks. But, since he's an OSU darling, ESPN and the rest protect him.

Herbstreit pissed a lot of people off on twitter tonight with the way he defended him.

Who gives a damn what the media thinks? We have to get our house in order before we worry about the media. Bama after the price fiasco was viewed as irrational, and irrelevant. What could they possibly do to compete with Florida schools and California programs? They were an antique, a dinosaur dynasty. Well they put their petty bs aside, got their AD in order and went out and got saban.
