Booger McFarland: TN is up and coming, and Josh Dobbs is on track to be a Heisman contender.
John Hayes(Finebaum show): Josh Dobbs will likely be a Heisman contender.
Finebaum: "The hot team at media days will be TN"
Finebaum: "My first prediction of the year is that on Sept 12th TN will beat Big Game Bob's Oklahoma."
Most sportscasters in general are praising Butch Jones body of work thus far.
Looks like we're coming up out of the shadows with regard to the media.
Actually the jury is not out on Kiffin being a successful head coach. I have some insight into the USC program. Kiffin even when he was on The Hill and the staff he brought with him (think Ed O here) early on served notice they were going to sit at the edge of a micron of the line of the NCAA rule book. Kiffin took the Trojan job knowing it had a lot of risk due to the sanctions in place from Carroll, but thought he'd win enough to be kept around after the sanctions were lifted. He probably would have except what he didn't count on was long time SC AD, former Trojan and pro, Mike Garrett, getting the ax, few saw that coming. It was thought Garrett would be there until he croaked, but the program was way out of line and Garrett had to go. They brought in Hayden to make the program squeaky clean and Kiffin's job was done unless he won a NC. He didn't but he and Ed O had success against Oregon when few were for example Ed O won games as interim after Kiffin was not allowed on the bus, but there was no way Hayden would allow Ed O to be associated with the program. The rest is history. But know ye this Kiffin took Cromp Daddy and a walk on OL down to Bammer and had them beat at home until Mountain Cody did what he did on the last play of the game. It's been awhile since a Vol team did that, the guy can coach and win. He just has the morals of a demon that sits at the right hand of Satan. The slurpfest regarding Kiffin is beyond puzzling to me. He's already proven that he's not head coaching material and he's extremely overrated as an OC. However, I think he would be a fine QB coach somewhere.
Yea, I believe Finebaum was looking for that reaction when he dis-owned Tennessee
We disowned him years ago.
It was like a teenager breaking up with the person that just broke up with them.
Except, instead of a teenager, it was a weird, large-eared freak who somehow landed a tv gig when obviously he should be selling life insurance over the phone.
Dude is seriously one of the ugliest f--- on the planet.
Gollum turned him down for a date.
I'm just glad Derek Doofus burned Worley's redshirt. Otherwise, this staff would trot him out again and turn 2015 into Year Zero III.
