NO game, bowl or regular season, means zip, win or lose -- TrueThat would be the resident morons. This game means zip, win or lose.
If Tennessee loses their "meaningless" bowl game, wonder how many more coaches need to be fired.
So true! If playing for a national championship is the only meaningful game or playing for a chance to win a national championship is the only regular season game with meaning, Tennessee has had one meaningful season in the last 74 years. If you are a competitor, there are no meaningless games. I would never want a team mate that didn’t care whether we won or not.NO game, bowl or regular season, means zip, win or lose -- True
ANY bowl game means millions of dollars -- Also true
ANY bowl game means more practice time -- Also true
A bowl win can aid recruiting -- True
A bowl win can boost donations and increased NIL resources -- True
A bowl win can further motivate players' prep (diet, weight room, etc.) for spring practice -- True
A bowl loss can motivate players to work harder in preparation for spring practice -- Also true

Like most things in life, it is what each individual chooses to make of it.
But to attach the importance and meaning of a college football season to only one goal, a national championship, is IMHO foolhardy, self-destructive for fans and for smaller college programs, and is sure to destroy the overall popularity of college football from August to January.

Didn’t say I didn’t want them to make a bowl. Making a bowl means you had a decent (not great) season. And I like to see them win but it won’t twist me in knots if we lose a bowl game where our best WR and three best defensive players have opted out. Sorry, it’s just not.NO game, bowl or regular season, means zip, win or lose -- True

I'll be watching the game from the sidelines with 1/3 of our team.If Tennessee loses their "meaningless" bowl game, wonder how many more coaches need to be fired.
