McRae: "(LSU) was the kind of game you like playing in. No offense to Kentucky, but being up 30, that's not that fun, really."

Zing.

Mods: Please correct the spelling in title. Really blaming this one on the iphone

pretty cocky for a team that is barely over .500...doesn't take them long to think they are something.

While I hate to disagree with a man whose got Howie Morris (Earnest T. Bass) as his avatar, I dont think JM was being cocky AT ALL....IT IS more fun of a game when its close and well the Wildcat game was OVER from the outset...so I definitely agree with JM here...I know its a lot more fun for the fan to watch a hard fought game than a blowout...as much fun as it was stomping Kentucky in the Smokey Mountain mud I still probably enjoyed to competitiveness of last nights game more!!!!

I hear ya but these days with both football and basketball I'd rather be up by 30 because we seem to be losing all the "fun" games lately...and it is really not fun for me when we lose all the close ones...especially if I have been hitting the sauce during the game.

He's right. Blowouts aren't fun the last few minutes. Tight games when you put up over 30 are. Not really a dig at anyone, imo.

Yeah, it sucks having a confident team.

I wish these guys were less confident heading into the most important time in college basketball.

The typical game in the past from this group (and I've watched many games where this happens) is to get ahead, start bombing three's thinking everything is going to go in and then let the game get close and lose at the end...I agree the team should be internally confident but I don't think they should talk smack after beating UK once in how many tries?

Don't get me wrong- Im a VOL but I like silent confidence...just take care of business and win rather than talkin the big talk..

Switching back and forth between UT -v-LSU game and the Indy -v-MSU game and I'm wondering why do I see so many Vol fans sitting on their hands. Crowd is too wine and cheese. Might as well play Kenny G music during time outs. Student section needs to be rearranged and get the student body closer to the court in TV viewing, not behind the goals. Even watching Mizzou last night and that crowd was into the game.

To me it starts with not having our student section ran all the way down one sideline. They stick the all behind the endline and above.

Dang your right though, it really looked wine and cheese last night.

lots and lots of old people sit in the 100s at TBA and don't make a sound. it sucks. it'd be fine if they actually got into the game, but they never do.

And quite. The commentators made mention of it a couple of times. And we were up the whole game, after the first couple of minutes.

I've been in NBA arena's louder than TBA. I thought I was watching a Wimbledon match. Seriously something needs to be done. You would have thought after the UK historic beatdown everyone would have stormed the court in celebration or did they?

I swear, there is always something for someone to ***** about. You beat UK by the biggest margin ever. Kid didn't even "talk smack"- just merely stated that it is more fun when you win a contested game (and drop in 34 points). Unbelievable.
