I'm not usually critical of college players because they're not paid for what they do, but McRae has to learn that when his o is off he can still help the team. I thought he played poor defense on Saturday and he goes through the routine to much on o. Lazy passes come from him every game and it's not getting better. I know this team would be 11-16 without him but he's a senior and he should play hard every second he's out there, not just when his o is rolling! If McRae played as hard as Richardson every game he'd be all American not just all sec. It also helps prove Martin is not a motivator to go along with his other coaching deficiencies. We deserve better as fans. VFL, GBO
Agree to a certain extent but only in that he should feel the need himself to do the things you're saying. What other motivation does he need other than the reality that he's hurting his own draft stock by being lackadaisical in his approach to his game? The NBA passes on that nonsense. But he's hardly the problem anyway. Half the roster cant find a way to put the ball in the hole. They have a 6'10 275lb guy obviously for intimidation purposes. He LOOKS intimidating getting off the bus I guess. I'm guessing he's just a serious liability on the floor and that's why he doesn't play much. But my next question would be, of the 8 billion or so people in the world, you couldn't have found a guy that could manage maybe 6pts and at a height like that, maybe 6-7 rpg? Really? If he's a walking foul waiting to happen or has hands of stone didn't you see that while 'evaluating him'? The countdown for Cuonzo is about 5 games and a wakeup.
