McMillions: The McDonald's Monopoly Crime

Thanks for posting. I watched this tonight and it is very interesting. I remember collecting some of those Monopoly properties back when this promotion first started in 1987. I'm surprised I haven't heard about this until now. I watch "American Greed" on CNBC on a regular basis and they cover crimes as such this. I can't believe they haven't done an episode on it... or at least if they have, it would be one of the few episodes I have missed.

It's an interesting story but it didn't need more than a single 2 hour long episode to cover it. They are dragging it out with some unnecessary detail.

I'm noticing this with even regular series shows...the last 2 Expedition Unknowns I've recorded have both been 3 hours long
I think these documentaries are so cheap to produce that Netflix/Hulu/etc. don’t care how long they are. It doesn’t cost more to edit less. Evil Genius could have been done in 50 mins, maybe 100. But it’s over three hours long. The actual event didn’t take 3 hours. I’m glad there’s all this content out there but they don’t all need 3-5 hours to tell the story.

I was wondering if I was the only person that thinks they're really dragging this out. So far I think they could cut at least an hour out of what's been shown so far.

It's interesting, but there's been gaps where I've thought "I could have skipped the past 5 minutes and not missed anything at all."

How many episodes are there going to be? Just watched #4, I'm guessing 5?

Last night’s episode was great. It was dragging the last couple weeks. Excited for the finale.

Watched the whole thing over last couple of days. Agree it was too long. Only needed 2-3 episodes.

Crazy story though. I felt horrible for the black lady in Jacksonville. She really thought she was doing something to better herself and her kid. And for the goofy guy who thought he was just helping out his foster dad.

The fallout from the Marketing Company to the printers was terrible too. One guy caused hundreds of people to lose their jobs.

And his lawyers at the end saying he paid his debt and shouldn’t have answer for this the rest of his life. Bull Shiz!!! He should be badgered till the day he dies and heckled at his funeral too.

One year in high school in the 90s I would stop every morning and get a coke for a game piece before school. Then go back and get another and lg fry after school for a few more. I probably had enough pieces to fill 4 boards minus the winners. No F*******ING WONDER!!!

F********** Jerry Jacobson!!!

just watched. Was it too long? eh, a bit. It started to get way too far into the personal lives of secondary characters.

one thing I know now is that I'm fairly certain the vast majority of the the "winners" did not commit a crime.
