our only shot to stop them is to hope DMac is worn out after carrying it 30 times and Felix gets hurt in practice this week. otherwise, uh oh.

Guys, it will be very hard to stop the run game vs. Arky. John Chavis,DanBrooks,Steve Cadwell and Larry Slade will have to work these youngs guys like crazy this week to get them up to par. I really dont see that happen myself. I think it will come down to a point shootout. I really hope Ainge is ready for this..Go Vols!!!

Load up the box and make them beat you passing the ball. We should be able to beat a one dimensional offensive team.

I dont think we will be able to stop their run game either, i'm hoping Ainge and our receivers are on fire sat and victory goes to the side with the least turnovers.

He can run for all he wants...aslong as our offense keeps scoring...Remember guys, we can still win if they score more than 0

You do realize that South Carolina gave up more rushing yards to ULL than we did? And they also only beat them by like 14.

What does that mean for us against Arky? Probably nothing. But the game is at Neyland vs being at Arky which is good for us. They did just have a monstrous game(58 carries and 541 rushing yards or something like that, not to mention Dick was 8-10), but teams tend to have a let down after a game like that. And who knows? UGA plays Aubby and UF plays South Carolina. We may all 3 lose.

HV, Your right and thats what im worried about because we just had a monstrous game also. This year it seems like we have a good game and then were flat the next..:dunno:

:twocents:I don't see our "d" doin' a whole lot to stop those two studs. I think our only chance to hang with the hogs is to match TDs with TDs. Our offense seems to be able to adjust quicker.(w/ exceptions to the SC game.) I hope to see Creer & G. Jones get more work.

It's one of the most dominant rushing performances that I've ever seen. McFadden is about to go over 300.
I attended the game hoping to leave with some hope that we'll scrape out another victory next week. I left less than excited about our chances.

On a side note, why on earth is Felix Jones not a Heisman candidate. He can go yard on any given play. Been that way all year, which is why he averages 9 ypc and has 2 return TDs this year. McFadden's the horse, but Jones has just had a better year, IMO.

We had a pretty big game, but it was against ULL, not SC. Also, Ainge didn't have a super game either and I doubt we see Creer as much as we did against ULL.

This will only be their 3rd away game. They lost to Bama and beat Ole Miss. Their defense is also pretty suspect. Troy scored 26, Bama scored 41, Kentucky scored 42, and South Carolina scored 36. I have no feel for this game whatsoever.

why hasnt anyone mentioned Arian Foster yet in this thread? this guy will be the way to keep McFadden and Jones off the field. i obviously dont expect 300 yards from him. just 200. creer will get the other 100.:)

The question to ask would be.... is nutt intelligent enought to have McF in QB taking direct snaps for more number of plays... becuase i think we will struggle to play that formation... knowing that McF can throw as well as casey dick...

i was at the arkansas game last night and at the arkansas-tennessee game last year. i've got the same feeling this year before the game that i had last year. mcfadden and jones would have been a load for any tennessee defense that has ever suited up. just how is chavis's lastest piss-poor effort supposed to slow these two down? as much as i dislike nutt, i've got to admit that this team seems to be peaking right now. it wouldn't surprise me if he won out. i just hate for UT to be road kill along the way.

The funny thing is that if the likely happens(Arky runs over us), even if we win, Chavis will be bashed. Why that is funny is that Arky does that to almost everyone. I don't care if McFadden and Jones and Hillis all have 200 yards rushing if we win.

things you never thought you would see: arkansas, accused of running up the score by calling running plays instead of passing.

This game should be very interesting. I'm going with Arky to win this game, because our D will have major problems stopping McFadden and Jones.
