I'm pretty confident that Chavis knows to stack the line of scrimmage to shut down the run on the R-backs, what I'm not so confident of is him making adjustments during the game when Dick looks all american throwing slants against a zone, and the defense isn't penetrating the backfield.

You should enjoy it now while Mcfadden is there. When he leaves they will be back to sucking again, and you know this.Anyways, Tennessee will win in Knoxville, high score but we win.I just hope someone lays a lick on your boy though! Oh, BTW, thanks for helping Tennessee win the N/C in 1998.I was at that game.I knew sooner or later the pressure would get to Arkansas, and it did.Might as well had a red ribbon on that football dangling around the field that day:).

Every NC team relies on at least one miracle somewhere along the way. Clint Stoerner supplied ours. But if you're suggesting a 13-0 season is attributable to one play, you're out of your mind, porky.

Nutt wants the "W" to get the Nebraska job and
McFadden's motivation is NFL $$$. Neither one of them will leave Neyland happy.

Success on the field hasn’t been a problem for Arkansas coach Houston Nutt. In 10 seasons with the Razorbacks, Nutt is 73-47 and has gotten his team to the SEC title game twice. That should get him a lifetime deal in Fayetteville, but some Razorbacks followers haven’t been impressed and they’ve been out to get Nutt canned.
Nutt didn't help himself by going through a courtship with Nebraska before Callahan was hired.

With longtime athletic director Frank Broyles on the way out, and lot of negative energy around the program, even a strong finish by the Razorbacks (6-3) might not stop a change. In fact, don't be surprised if Nutt takes matters into his own hands and gets himself another job.
Maybe Nebraska's still interested.

you've made it tremendously better than reality by double and even triple counting seasons. That's 4 ten win seasons out of a lot of them and winning ten ain't what it used to be. The downward trend is a huge problem, whether we'd like to admit it or not.

one of the bitter ironies in all this for the vols is that, if memory serves me right, mcfadden seriously considered signing with UT out of high school. on signing day he had narrowed it down to arkansas and tennessee. had phil known just how good he was, i'm sure he would bought the house next door to mcfadden's.

you're exactly right. I didn't realize he had that many 10+ win seasons.

The trend is still as plainly negative as can be and, as I said previously, winning 10 in 13 game seasons, when you lose all of the big ones just isn't cutting it.

Now, as someone aptly put it on another thread....this is "not a page for English majors". However, in light of it being pig week I'm going to tell you about a little invention that will make others think "shew-wee, that boys Mama and Daddy done sent him off to Tennessee (please, don't ever try to spell that one...just write Tn.) to be schooled up. It's called spell check. Now, this is where it gets a little tricky. They use a CHECK mark instead of spelling it(that may actually help some of you porkers). Now, this is going to freak you out, but it will also check grammer. So, all those little things like KNOXSVILLE instead of Knoxville and using "an NC" instead of "a NC" will make ya'll APPEAR literate.
Point of order, I think you winning last year at home by 17 points making you think that ya'll "have arrived" is hillarious. It says it all:thumbsup: :whistling:

That's the basic "Hugger" argument and that's how it looks on the surface...but...

Right after the big win streak last year, Nutt decided all the accolades weren't going to him so he decided to hire a "co-offensive coordinator" because Malzahn was doing too good of a job. Everything went downhill from there...Malzahn left, Mustain - the most highly rated recruit Arkansas has ever had - bolted for USC, along with another top recruit.

...also the Razorbacks are the proud home of the longest tenured coach who has never made a BCS bowl.

...the way this season began was the straw that broke the camel's back. The team that showed up against SC on Saturday should have been showing up all year. Why is that? Could it be because our team is so poorly managed/coached?

There are many, many more reasons why we want Nutt to go.

So that's why I can never root against my team. But if they do lose to the Vols this weekend I won't be too upset.

Maybe the Nutt Huggers and Blatant Fulmerites can ride off into the sunset together at the end of the season...
