Dear God. Hi, it's me again. I know we have had this talk before but please...PLEASE lord let this story be an indication of the man-beast we are about to set loose on the rest of the nation and not a sneak peak of things to come with our O-Line.

Amen.

Run game D is still very weak.

Especially in the SEC it will hurt us.

If we have any major injuries in.the front 7 we are screwed.

Teams with strong running games will have a nice blueprint as to our weakness.

Good news is we only play two or three really good.running teams.

Learning and adjusting to the 3-4 may take some time and allow some teams to run the ball against us in the first few games, however, I think our front 7 is going to be a strength on this team unless we have alot of injuries. We finally have some depth on the D-line whereas in the past few years , Dooley was having to play guys that were definitely not ready for SEC football. Our starting D-line (front 3 of McCullers, Couch and Sentimore) will have an average weight of around 320 lbs. and they are all fairly athletic. Starting LB's are very solid, maybe the best group in a long time.

I am in the same camp in that I am not expecting much from the D. My hope is that the offense will be explosive enough to make opposing offenses more predictable (in having to play from behind) for the Vol defense as it matures and logs some experience in the new schemes.

I'm not doubting Mount McCullers until I have a reason to. The guy is almost the exact dimensions of John Henderson and he worked out pretty well for Tennessee.

McCullers played 3-4 in juco. Just saying. I think Sentimore has played quite a bit of 3-4 as well.

Our front seven have been below average the past couple of years and we have stayed in most games. With that being said, our front seven is much deeper and much bigger which cannot do anything but improve our chances. We may not be the next steel curtain defense but we will improved from the past two years.

Chop block......down goes Mt. McCullers. I have a feeling his legs are gonna be gone

Wonder why the juco college coaches didn't think of that, chances are this will not be the first time teams have not tried that on him.

There is more depth than there has been in 5 years. The front 7 is better and deeper than it has been in at least 5 years.

Your negativity is 5 years old.

He also wasn't playing against huge linemen from Alabama and Florida. And on a similar note, do you not think guys like Muschamp or Franklin wouldn't try to pull that crap?
