McCoy May Return For Arkansas

Wes has different words than this quote from 247 sports on Heupel response:

On Jermod McCoy hitting any more benchmarks: "He continues to do a great job in his rehab with our medical staff and strength staff. Somebody told me there was a report of a game he was focusing on for a return. I don’t think that’s a fair understanding of the situation. He’s done a good job and has more to go. He has to be ready to go play and there’s a lot that goes into that. You’re balancing his ability to be prepared and his short-term and long-term situation as well."
Seems to jive. The rehab dictates the timeline - not creating specific targets

That’s unfortunate. If that’s the case, there must have been a setback from last week when @Stoerner Fumbles said he was progressing really well and was back on the practice field.

there are multiple media (Callahan, Hubbs, Low, Nakos, Price and Patrick Brown) who are saying he has not practiced since he got hurt. So I don't know, just relaying what I've seen / heard.

I haven’t heard that, but haven’t talked to anyone since Friday morning. He was running full speed, doing drills with receivers etc through Thursday. They monitor swelling every day. The plan was full contact this week, but if he has feedback in the knee, they’ll push another week. Will hear more, I’m sure.

That’s what I was told, too. Plus, reported the same by Hubbs and others.

As I stated numerous times over the past weeks, he must go thru “contact.” As of Monday, he hadn’t, though there have been conflicting reports whether he’s been on the field.
