For reference: McClendon's (supposed) lift would take over the 15th spot on the all time unassisted bench press list, right behind Vladimir Kravtsov of Russia, 2001. Vlad would also make the "600-club," which contains 43 names, worldwide, as far as I can tell.
Maybe we do have competitors for powerlifting world records on our football team, maybe we don't.
that's good and all, but the question is can he open holes for the RB's. 9th in rushing in the SEC is not good at all. I know it's not all his fault but it's time to start being a dominate running team again. We need more that 26 yards rushing against the gators. last 2 years we've combined for 26 yards rushing against them.
Word.Well I hope we have an OC (and I think we do now) that won't abandon the run for his project QB to show off his growth.
I hope so.I think Arian is going to be used more not just in the run as well... and probably will average more than 20 carries/game.

I really doubt adding that lean muscle slowed him down any. If anything I'd say it gave him more lateral quickness and agility. That would mean hes up to 205-210 pounds. Thats a pretty big guy at 5'11. Hope it doesn't slow him down any.
The audio in OWH's link says Vlad got 600 too.Thats unbelieveable...absolutely amazing!!!
Isn't Vlad Richard really strong as well...like over 500 pounds in the bench press? I remember hearing (and seeing) how much more of a push we got when those two were at guard...no wonder....
As far as Berry is concerned...if it truly is lean muscle then that amount won't do anything but help his explosiveness....
And can you imagine how bad he is going to light people up this year...he was drilling people last year at 190...at 205 he might just take some heads off!!!
Personally...I hope the first head that goes rolling across the 50 yard line is from a UF receiver...preferably Harvin
This team is working its ass off in the weight room. Setting all kinds of records.Senior Demonte Bolden from Tyner Academy set a new defensive line mark with his 565-pound bench press, while sophomore tight end Luke Stocker (565) and walk-on sophomore linebacker Nick Reveiz (640) set new squat marks at their positions. Sophomore All-American kicker Daniel Lincoln breezed past the program’s records with his 370-pound bench press, 405-pound squat and 275-pound power clean.
“We’ve got the buffest kicker in America, no doubt,” sophomore defensive end Chris Walker said through fits of laughter.
Not going to happen. Parker might have gotten Third team AA honors last year but McNeil is the better player. It will be the same rotation as last year. Parker 2/3s of the PT and Vlad gets the other 1/3 and comes in in short yardage situations. As good as A. Parker is...with two guys benching that much it kind of makes you want them in their full time...
Does anyone think this kind of performance from McClendon and Richard might result in Parker going to center full time? If so, what happens to McNeil?
