The Navy also said that Israel accidentally attacked the USS Liberty in 1967.

McCain knew all about that. His dad Admiral John S. McCain Jr was in charge of the "investigation".

Sorry, but the MSM has the market cornered on fake news.

So do bs websites.

So let’s call that a push. So you think a guy who spent 5 years as a POW, who came back crippled and refused to be released early, is a coward? Did he just find strength as a POW? Or do you think that’s all a lie too? You are attacking someone I would guess you voted for. Bc you have fallen for fake news. You have fallen hard for it. Pro Tip just bc it’s in the Internet doesn’t mean it’s true

Your words that you're trying to attribute to me.

I never said McCain was a coward.

I don't think he's a hero. He was always looking for the next war/conflict for our military to support.

Tweet below for example

Where's @Weezer to bitch about the Trumpers badmouthing McCain before he's even buried? Uh huh. Could it be it was never about that?

Funny, I am neither a trump supporter nor a liberal and I find no reason to grieve McCain's death.

It would be more fitting to grieve the lives lost by his war mongering.

Who suggested you should be grieving?

You will literally believe anything.

re: The Forrestal. Not a single one of us can say what we would do in a similar circumstance. There was a very real possibility that that carrier was going to the bottom of the ocean. One comment I will make is that pilots are not firefighters. He would more than likely have been in the way had he tried to fight the fire.

Monday morning QB'ing sucks

More childish behavior from trump, who you can always count on to do the wrong thing when it comes to dignity and respect:

"President Trump decided against releasing an official White House statement on Sen. John McCain following his death, two administration sources confirmed to Fox News.

The statement would have praised him for his decades of service and his heroism as a Vietnam War POW. White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders and other senior aides all had pushed for such a statement, which would have called McCain a “hero.”

The president, however, rejected the statement and instead issued a brief tweet Saturday night following the legendary Arizona Republican senator’s death."

If he had made that statement, you guys would have lined up to call him a hypocrite.

D John Lewis on John McCain in 2008:
“As one who was a victim of violence and hate during the height of the Civil Rights Movement, I am deeply disturbed by the negative tone of the McCain-Palin campaign,” Lewis said in a statement. “Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are sowing the seeds of hatred and division, and there is no need for this hostility in our political discourse.”
The veteran Democrat even invoked one of the most divisive figures in recent U.S. history. “During another period, in the not too distant past, there was a governor of the state of Alabama named George Wallace who also became a presidential candidate. George Wallace never threw a bomb. He never fired a gun, but he created the climate and the conditions that encouraged vicious attacks against innocent Americans who were simply trying to exercise their constitutional rights. Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama,” said Lewis.
He warned, “As public figures with the power to influence and persuade, Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are playing with fire, and if they are not careful, that fire will consume us all. They are playing a very dangerous game that disregards the value of the political process and cheapens our entire democracy. We can do better. The American people deserve better.”

WH flags back at full mast.

What was it Trump said about honoring the military by NFL players standing for the anthem?

He adhered to protocol which calls for the flag to be lowered on the day of and the day after the Senator’s passing.

And none of this would exist as a topic of conversation if he didn’t conduct himself in the manner he does.

This isn’t a Democrat v republican issue, this is a being a decent human being issue.

We aren't operating under the pretext that Trump is a good guy. We just don't care.

He made a statement, lowered the flag for a day and that's that. What else do you want from him? It's no secret that him and ole John didn't get along. You, along with everyone else are just looking for the next outrage. Move on.
