McCain will pass soon

This thread shouldn't have had anything to do with the subject of politics.

John McCain was a politician, so his politics were bound to be mentioned. Not saying it's right, but it was to be expected.

You made a point of calling me out, saying I only criticized your colleagues for being liberal. Are you only calling out those who criticize because they're conservatives? You've made no criticism of those using this thread to further their agenda of tearing down Trump, a tactic equally as classless.

Just like Tiger Woods' passing some day shouldn't be about golf? I'm not bashing McCain here, but you guys would dance on Trump's grave in a heartbeat.
It's a mistake to speak for other people on such matters. I have lost enough loved ones in my life to ever do any such thing. Trump has a young son. My thoughts would be with him after his death. I simply wouldn't post to a thread about his illness and subsequent passing. If you can't pay respects to someone just after they have died, then you shouldn't say anything at all... and I wouldn't.

I don't disagree with you on one level. However, what bugs me is that JM is now being lauded as a great man. and a patriot. Flags are being lowered. Why? He 'worked' in one of the most corrupt institutions that has had an approval rating above 50% rarely since 1974. (See attached Gallup Poll). All these senators are abysmal failures, yet they are treated as if they do amazing things. They don't. As a human being, maybe he doesn't deserve criticism. As a man that suffered in Vietnam, he has my admiration and respect. As a senator, he has earned whatever goes his way. I'm not 'glad' that he's dead, I really don't care that much. Why should I? His family won't GAS when I pass on.

Congress and the Public

Fire away.

Oh, and John McCain doesnt care anymore.

And it's okay to have that opinion. But why do all opinions need to be expressed? When a man dies, sometimes it's just better to say "God rest his soul" and move on, because what does it really matter what you thought of him? He's gone. As for the honors he receives, does it matter? It's theater for the nation.

Many on your side would topple Trump's tombstone and joyfully dance and piss on his grave. There is no doubt.

The reason you singled out them is because they are liberals. The most hateful and immature posts in this thread were by "Big Gucci Sosa". He actually posted "LOL" in response to a post that just said 'R.I.P. A great man'. It is a sign of pettiness that a person can't set aside emotions over politics to either pay respects to someone who just died or have the discipline to avoid mocking those who are.

This thread should have been deleted once that crap started. It reflects poorly on this site to have this junk standing, unchecked.
The sad part is that is worse than you think. I've dumped about 50 posts so far.

People suck.

I miss the good old days of 10 years ago when the left thought that McCain was a racist Republican like the rest of them.
Why would anyone have thought McCain was a racist? Specifically speaking, who on the left ever accused him of being a racist? I never saw anyone accuse him of that. To the contrary, at the time, most members of the press and the left were very complimentary of what a clean campaign that McCain ran in 2008. McCain never brought up birtherism and wouldn't talk about Rev. Wright either. He famously took the microphone out of the hands of one of his supporters who said she believed Obama was "an Arab". You are just blowing smoke.

If I can find it, Begala, Brokaw, and one other guy talked about McCain giving a speech to some organization that was supposedly racist and they wondered about his affiliation with them . It was in 2008 on either NBC or MSNBC.

Not just any fire.

Research the USS Forrestal
You should research it and not buy into fake bs. Numerous eye witness claims he tried to save a pilot and threw munitions into the water.
Take that situation out. We have a man we know spent five years in torture camp. Who refused early release. Who came out permanently crippled. Who flew over 20 combat missions in Vietnam. Please post your resume against his when it comes to cowardice. I guarantee he has me and you beat in spades.

Furthermore his character his better then mine. I won’t speak to yours. He stuck by his beliefs, even many I disagreed with, despite political blow back. He was a war Hawk for sure. But I will respect anyone who stands behind their beliefs. He refused to allow the “Obama is a Muslim agent” crap to seap into his campaign. And for those who give him hell for losing that election, I wonder what the hell did you think was going to happen? The economy completely went off the rails. I see several posters supporting Trump say “it’s the economy stupid.” I agree. So why were you surprised he got boat raced? Did you want him to claim Obama was a Muslim plant? Sadly many of you here believe Obama was. I despise lots of what Obama did. He also spent lots of time killing Muslims. Which is also a reason I have a problem with Obama.

Furthermore, when the hell did compromise become a dirty word or act? You want to know why Congress achieves nothing? It’s bc both sides refuse to acknowledge that compromise, in most situations, best. It’s not my party is always right and your is wrong. It’s not “bc I won.” We need to grow the f up as voters. And stop demonizing the other side and pretending like our side is always right. Ok rant over.

His plane fired a missile across the deck of the USS Forrestal.

McCain was the only person transferred off the USS Forrestal after the fire occurred. That is curious.

The fact that you discount any questions about exactly what happened that day tells me all I need to know.

You don't want an honest discussion. You want people to shut up and agree with you.

His record in the senate speaks for itself. He was a war monger/profiteer.

McCain voted against a national holiday MLK day. He called Vietnamese gooks. He basically called Iran’s President a monkey.

Now, if you put Trumps name in his place, you’d swear he was a racist, right?

Navy says you are wrong

Posts blame McCain for deadly 1967 fire aboard USS Forrestal

You have fallen for fake news. Much like the Q crap.

The Navy also said that Israel accidentally attacked the USS Liberty in 1967.

McCain knew all about that. His dad Admiral John S. McCain Jr was in charge of the "investigation".

Sorry, but the MSM has the market cornered on fake news.
