What don’t you understand about that federal flag flying above the White House ? That flag will fly at full staff unless the president of the United States DECLARES differently . He also DECLARED that it be flown at half mast when the gunman killed the newspaper staff inside their building .

Read my other posts in the thread and you'll see I've clearly stated my opinion that nothing is gained by attacking a dead man. I've made my point clear. I've said let the man rest in peace. The reason I singled you, and earlier LG, out is because you're trying to turn a thread about John McCain into another "let's bash Trump" thread. Why? You guys love to claim the moral high road so take it for once instead of acting like petty little bitches.

The reason you singled out them is because they are liberals. The most hateful and immature posts in this thread were by "Big Gucci Sosa". He actually posted "LOL" in response to a post that just said 'R.I.P. A great man'. It is a sign of pettiness that a person can't set aside emotions over politics to either pay respects to someone who just died or have the discipline to avoid mocking those who are.

This thread should have been deleted once that crap started. It reflects poorly on this site to have this junk standing, unchecked.

You're not entirely wrong. I didn't single them out because they were liberals. But the fact that they're liberals is what led them to Trump bash. I agree that there have been some terrible comments about McCain, and I in no way condone them. But as harsh as they are, they stay on the subject of John McCain, which this thread is about.

I don't disagree that it comes across as classless to speak so harshly of the dead, especially someone none of us knew personally. He did good things in life, and he did bad things. It's called being human. Now he's gone. Speaking ill of him is pointless and crass.

In the end, McCain is beyond any criticism some may offer. Our thoughts and prayers are better served for his family who, no matter how we may feel, have lost someone they loved.

I don't disagree with you on one level. However, what bugs me is that JM is now being lauded as a great man. and a patriot. Flags are being lowered. Why? He 'worked' in one of the most corrupt institutions that has had an approval rating above 50% rarely since 1974. (See attached Gallup Poll). All these senators are abysmal failures, yet they are treated as if they do amazing things. They don't. As a human being, maybe he doesn't deserve criticism. As a man that suffered in Vietnam, he has my admiration and respect. As a senator, he has earned whatever goes his way. I'm not 'glad' that he's dead, I really don't care that much. Why should I? His family won't GAS when I pass on.

Congress and the Public

Fire away.

Oh, and John McCain doesnt care anymore.
