I have mixed feelings..... I don't like thinking about someone near death, the suffering they've endured and the sense of hurt and loss their loved ones are experiencing....but I didn't think much of McCain as a "politician".... he may well have a great human being but only those close to him know

I had the story wrong. Earlier in his service he tried to save another pilot during a fire.

The Mayor can order flags to half mast at a city level.

The Governor can order at state level.

Only POTUS or his designee can order at national level or on national land. And that picture of the flag at the White House would have been POTUS decision.

I don't hold Trump responsible for the tweet or the Instagram post as its obvious he wrote neither of them. They didn't say "SAD!", blast Jeff, or say no collusion.

He made proclamations of flag lowering for John Glenn, Billy Graham, Barbara Bush, and the shootings of Santa Fe, Sutherland Springs, Parkland and Las Vegas. Nope, no John McCain, who hurts his feelings. Who cares about the facts though, right?

He’s doing exactly what I would do if I were him. There’s no love lost between Trump and McCain. He offered one short thoughtful tweet and orders the flag lowered. Then quiet.

You guys bitch if he speaks/tweets and now you bitch if he’s quiet.

Do some reading , we provided you with articles , it’s not up to us to deal with your Trump derangement . Google the articles that are already out there from USA Today , Politico , the Hill .. I’m sure by now there are others geez .
