Whenever someone starts off with "Vets like myself.." I would expect the followup to be something about donations to a veterans fund, not propaganda slandering a former POW.

I'm seeing people for who they are, and it's just sad.

The guy flew in over 20 combat missions in Vietnam. Had the opportunity to be released early as a POW and refused. Oh and was captured bc he was trying to pull another pilot out of a downed plane. Crazy people criticize his military experience.

This really is one of the most classless threads I've ever seen on a non-political site. The lack of maturity and refinement is embarrassing to read... and the worst posts were all met with "likes" and comments of encouragement.

And it was nice. So who cares. He allowed it to be published under his name if he didn’t write it. This is why everyone laughs at you.

But it’s the norm for you. Kind of like how you insist white people only want school choice to keep minorities away from their kids. Yet here I sit, raising a black daughter, and I want school choice. Crazy right?

I'm feeling lost in history here... McCain had two broken arms and a dislocated knee, barely able to use his teeth to inflate his life jacket when he splashed down. When did he try to save another pilot that day?

The best thing Trump can do is let this pass quietly. Any effort to pretend he cared about or respected the man will be clearly fraudulent. I'm afraid he can't help himself and at some rally will talk about how great McCain was, and clap and what not. Would be a shame.

Lot of that going on here. 15 years ago this man was a war criminal, today he’s canonized by the same people because he poked a stick in Trump’s eye.
