Not really. People knew he could play and would push Eason, but nobody seriously thought he should be on the field early. He lives about 20 minutes from me, and even people here didn't think it world happen.

Except when he goes down, you don't immediately know it's just going to be 2-3 plays. You can't predict that nor can the training staff. They have to evaluate him first. That isn't an instant process

Idk if I'd go as far as to say they're recruiting over him. We need another qb for next year in case of a transfer. I think they genuinely like him.

Again, just to clarify my posts. I thought Butch had made the decision that JG was done after watching him go down on that sack, and that's why McBride went in. If he's still evaluating whether JG can go, then it wouldn't have hurt to take a timeout and put in a walk-on to handoff a few times or run wildcat.

My biggest issue now is I don't think JG should be playing when he can barely walk.

Agree. He could get injured much worse if he is in that much pain.
