If Mcbride is mad about his redshirt he can stay another year and be 3rd on the depth chart behind Adrian Martinez lol

That's what I don't get. We're already recruiting over this kid yet people act like this is an unimaginable sin.

Hate to see McBride lose his redshirt over three plays. He looks like he has a pretty accurate arm on him.

I will never be convinced that that was necessary. My belief is that bUTch knows that he is fired and he is trying to hurt U.T. as much as possible. (1) burn McBrides year (2) stops recruiting (3) doesn't play shamburger (4) plays locklear and burns his season.

What cardinal sin did he commit? Trying to win? Being unable to predict the future (that JG would be back so quick)?

The staff is in constant contact with trainers. Could have easily lined up in wildcat for 2-3 plays. The fact that Butch has been asked about this for 2 weeks and still didn’t have anything planned just shows how stupid he is as a coach.

These tools on SECN are overstepping a little. it's a little strange how much time they're giving the 3rd string QB decision.

I think they are empathetic to the player. It’s a cluster both ways now, McBride burns his redshirt and JG is playing hurt.

Was it coaching malpractice when UGA put Jake Fromm in a game under the exact same circumstances??

I get that it was September vs November, but still...

Let’s hope McBride plays. Otherwise there is no reason to burn the redshirt with nothing to play for. Kid just potentially had a great year of his life ripped away. You absolutely have to put in wildcat or walk on for the rest of that series while you see how JG is.

If I was Will’s Dad I would be livid

Did they ever say why will had to come in or why he just wanted to him run 3 plays ?

Based in the hits JG has taken, I don’t expect this will be the last we see of McBride

Maybe he can get that redshirt next year.

Y’all need to chill out. This is football. Learn the game.

His redshirt was ALREDAY BURNED, He is your number 2 QB. He was ready to play. All that was left was the formality. Stop listening to ESPN.

Should not have burned the kid's red shirt. Horrible decision. But, since it's burned why not leave McBride in the game? Guarantano can't go.

Again, just to clarify my posts. I thought Butch had made the decision that JG was done after watching him go down on that sack, and that's why McBride went in. If he's still evaluating whether JG can go, then it wouldn't have hurt to take a timeout and put in a walk-on to handoff a few times or run wildcat.

My biggest issue now is I don't think JG should be playing when he can barely walk.

Except when he goes down, you don't immediately know it's just going to be 2-3 plays. You can't predict that nor can the training staff. They have to evaluate him first. That isn't an instant process

95% of the UGA fan base wanted Fromm to be the starter before Eason got hurt
