No he didn’t. Geez.

I’m not a Butch fan but nothing he could do there. He didn’t know if or when JG was coming back in.

Nothing he could do? Really? You gotta be freaking kidding me! Call a timeout. Run the wildcat. Make sure that him losing a year of eligibility is inevitable and unavoidable. Not like we're playing for a championship at this point.

Could have used Jancek to hand the ball off. McBride threw a pretty pass but his political comments over taking a knee were out of line and burned a lot of good will

Personally I think the kid is a career back up. Gruden (or however we pronounce the new coach’s name) will recruit over him.

At the time they also had 3 timeouts they could use......can't take them with you.

However WM may play later in this game anyway. I just didn't like the timing as it was not a "have to" case.

I could see taking a timeout there, for sure.

Did we go up tempo too? Could've possibly just been one or two plays if we'd taken our time.

But CBJ could've only done that if he knew JG would be back shortly (doubtful given how serious it looked).

It’s amazing how much of the Knoxville media is protecting Butch over this Rucker and Patrick Brown are such snowflakes.

What cardinal sin did he commit? Trying to win? Being unable to predict the future (that JG would be back so quick)?

That was how I viewed it at the time. As bad as JG was limping, I'm just not sure he needs to be out there. At that point I assumed Butch had made the decision that JG was finished. Guess I was wrong.

It may well be for more than 3 plays. If anyone so much as breathes on JGs ankle Mcbride is the guy for possibly the rest of season. sigh.

Okay, it is unfortunate that we had to burn Mcbride's redshirt but espn is focusing way too much on this

If the rumors were true on how Butch played Dormady, knowing his shoulder was injured and now he is putting JG in a position to get seriously injured😱. JG just feel on the last play, clearly he is not on. Butch is totally incompetent.

These tools on SECN are overstepping a little. it's a little strange how much time they're giving the 3rd string QB decision.

I hate it too, but if Guarantano can't go, he's the next man up.

We have no clip board holder to put out there for this game....and Riley locklear what about him....year 5 no depth I guess he shouldn't have had 50 percent turn over on every class he's had
