Might be the thing makes me actually hate Butch. I was mostly indifferent and ready to see him just move on. Now he’s officially a dirtbag.

It's one thing if JG is out for the game. But, a series? Really? You're going to burn a rs for 1 series?!

This situation will probably be the first thing other coaches bring up while recruiting against us. This will be a hard pill to swallow for parents imo.

I understand its a hard situation, but the damage is real.

He may be needed later in this game. However it was not a "have to" case at the time. Butch has 3 timeouts to use, and could go wildcat .......for a couple if plays.

Not sure he will stick around having burnt his redshirt. No qb wants to run back up to another qb of same class. If is talented to play, he will bolt. Hate to see this situation.

Since my thread bout Butch burning the RS got removed I’ll say it again I feel like he’s giving a big FU to Tennessee on his way out.. he said he was gonna do it, if this dude is here next year it’s gonna be unbelievable i jus don’t see him here anymore he jus pissed us off again..

Don't think JG will last the game if he keeps taking shots. His mobility is decreasing with every play.

HE can redshirt next season still.

We are bringing in good QBs this class that will likely be ahead of him and he can RS then.

Not the end of the world either way.

Too big of a deal made around this for something 3 years in the future.

That was the most ignorant thing I've seen a coach do in a long time. No way you burn that kids redshirt for that. You gotta have a wildcat package you can run in an emergency.

Butch just proved he doesn't care about the kids or the programs future.

At the time they also had 3 timeouts they could use......can't take them with you.

However WM may play later in this game anyway. I just didn't like the timing as it was not a "have to" case.
